Yep, very funny.

Given me and the wife played it from euro release almost daily till Cataclysm then on and off for the next few years, I have no qualms with running my own private server. £8 per month, 12 month for 7 years with 2 accounts.... £1344 + original game and 4 expansions ( £240) £1580.....

Eldest daughter also had a subscription for 2 years too.

Suppose its cheaper than Skylanders

Klumpen0815: There was a splinter group of orcs working with humans at least in the expansion of Warcraft 2.
avatar
Breja: I don't remember that at all. Still, it was many years since I played that, so no wonder it might have slipped my mind. Was it like the trailer shows though? With Durotan and Lothar?
It was The Laughing Skull clan, a dissident group led by death knights that betrays the Horde and helps the humans fight against Ner'Zhul in Draenor.

I'm such a nerd when it comes to the lore of the classic Warcraft games. Too bad WoW ruined it for me, I never followed the story anymore.

from the trailer i thought it was dungeon keeper game, wish it was true
I don't understand why some are complaining about the CGI. I thought it was well done. I mean its a movie right. Sure its nice if we can find couple of hundred 8 foot dudes to look like orcs but cgi is just easier. Plus is a movie. Not real so one can't expect it to be realistic too much. Hence the term fantasy. ;)

Hold on, if we can find a couple hundred 3 foot dudes to look like oompa loompas and munchkins, we MUST be able to find a couple hundred 8 foot dudes. We have the technology, we have the capability. :)
I just watched the trailer and it reminded me of the story of Warcraft 3. I loved it and will definitely watch it even if it will be horrible in the end.

EDIT:
ps: I am not a World of Warcraft fan. I only played it for a couple of months in 2008 and hated it. I love the trailers Blizzard makes tho.

Very disappointing trailer. That CGI needs a loooooooot of polish imo.

Also, capitalizing on Vikings' popularity is probably a good idea but as much as I like Travis Fimmel, his acting sucks and it looks like he's just playing Ragnar with a fancy armor. But hey, at least it's not a Game of Thrones actor for a change.

Do remember, though, that John Rhys-Davies - who played Gimli - is 6ft 1in (1.85m). Not exactly short.

I never seen or heard of Vikings so I can't judge the actor.

And I find it baffling about you saying CGI needs work after we came along way from Mortal Kombat the second movie.

Is your defence of the CGI in this 2016 blockbuster really "it's not as bad as that shitty movie from 1997"?

Dude I'm just saying that we came so far and yet people still would say CGI still looks fake and shitty today :P

Because it does in this case. It has nothing to do with how far the technology has come, it's only about the result of how it was applied here.

The best CGI work is the one you don't even notice in films, which by the looks of it is not the case with "Warcraft" so far judging from the trailer. I am not referring to the Orcs in particular which probably will improve but the rest of the visual affects which look like something from those full green screen movies like "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow".

Some of the best VFX work I have ever seen was in a 2012 movie which won the Oscar for the absolutely stellar and ground breaking CGI.

Life of Pi - Visual Effects

A recent example is Mad Max: Fury Road which has a lot more CGI then you would imagine there to be in the film being hailed for its practical stunt work and is a testament to the quality that not many mention its equally amazing visual effects.
