Elmofongo: You lost your faith in movies when?

Licurg: Somewhere between the D&D movie and Star Wars: Attack of the Clones . Animes are better - watch the Ninja Scroll movie if you haven't already .
I know this is GOG but I never figured you for being that big of a D&D fan.

And this may piss you off but I found Attack of the Clones somewhat better than The Phantom Menace.
Not exactly hyped for the movie seeing as how Blizzard butchered the Warcraft universe to feed the WoW cash cow.

I also can't help associating Travis Fimmel with Ragnar Lodbrok :/

I'm not necessarily a D&D fan, the only D&D game to make my favorites would be PS:T . But still - that was a pretty horrible fucking movie. Even if I had never played a D&D game in my life, I still would've felt physically ill from watching that piece of shit...

Who the fuck are Traivs Fimmel and Ragnar Lodbrok?

WOD was the true Lore fuckery inflicted in WOW imo.

Say what you will about Pandaria at least its own lore is self contained.

TARFU: I'd say FF: The Spirits Within is the best of the lot.

rtcvb32: I'll have to agree. But it was Square Enix who made the game based loosely on their own series, and as each game has it's own plot/system/story it wasn't hard to come up with something they wanted to show off that sorta was between FF7 and FF13 (or the tech involved).

But i think maybe Spirits Within was more so they could show off what CGI could do, as well as test their own limits; Along with maybe transitioning to a different software/rendering package for prerendered cutscenes...
I agree. Spirits Within was an experiment in CGI animation, using a recognizable franchise name (Final Fantasy) to get people into the theater.

But no matter, it's not nearly as bad as some people make it out to be. I think some folks were just upset because they felt like the "Final Fantasy" title had misled them and that it was some kind of bait and switch.

Not sure if joking...

Never heard of him nor seen or even knew a show called Vikings existed today.

Licurg: It's gonna suck.
I dunno, I think doing a WC movie makes far more sense than doing that stupid Doom movie did. But, then again, I would have thought trying to turn Postal into a movie would be a bad idea and that one was debatable. I liked it, but I could totally understand people thinking it was terrible.

Definitely more sense than those stupid Tomb Raider movies.
The starcraft Legacy of the Void Trailer looks better.

Licurg: It's gonna suck.
Possibly. But I'll withhold my judgement until I see the actual trailer. It's not like I'm expecting much. Heh.
I always loved Blizzard trailers so it is logical to assume that this might be good. However i wont keep my expectations high. Mortal Kombat 2 sucked big time.

When is it ever good to have faith in a movie being good?
Interesting, I didn't even know of such a movie coming out... Still waiting for a proper Mechwarrior movie.

Is the Warcraft movie meant mainly for the WoW generation, or will people who only know Warcraft 1-3 enjoy it as well? Everything I know about WoW comes from that South Park WoW episode, so I guess I already know quite a lot.

^This, with a big dollop of ^this, in a thick creamy sauce of ^this.

To paraphrase a song "Milk it, just a little, milk it a little bit more..."

Just stop buying anything associated with Blizzard and they will hopefully disappear.
