You've got mail!

Browsing catalogs, tracking sales, ain't nobody got time for that.
Well, you finally don't need to - we'll email you when a game on your wishlist goes on sale.

Starting this weekend, when a GOG.com game (or games) on your wishlist gets a discount, you'll receive an automatic email notification with a quick way to jump straight to the product page. Nice and convenient.
If you don't want to receive these notifications, you can always unsubscribe directly through the first email you receive, or by heading to Account > Orders & Settings > and changing your Subscriptions settings.

We're still in the early days of rolling out the feature, so we'll continue iterating and nailing down the details and functionality - but with nearly 13,000 votes for the option on our Community Wishlist, we sure hope it comes in handy!
Ok, got my first email for the wishlist discounted games but that email is kind of pointless since it doesn't tell me how much the games are discounted and what is the base price before the discount and the discounted price. This is kind off a standard feature with other stores so it would be nice if the email would be supplemented with that data in the future.
I'd prefer having a notification when a game I voted for on the community wishlist is actually released.
Nice little feature.
Thank you GOG! This is really usefull :)
Thanks GOG for this much needed feature! :)
Now that you have the base code in place, set it up so we can receive news/updates/sales from specific/individual products of choice rather than opt for all or opt for none. I don't know if any site has done that yet so you'd be quite modern in that regard if you implemented it.
I will be spending more money on games now! That's not a very good thing but I'll handle it!
Congrats GOG. I've been rather indiscriminate with the wishlist so no doubt I'll be seeing a number of emails.

A while back I checked the list and thought to myself did I really add all these. Maybe time to go through and prune it a bit.
Excellent! This is the only pending feature to make GOG perfect!
Thanks, GOG!

After having received mine, I have to agree with this. If one has Internet access to receive emails, then they might as well stick with checking their Wishlist, it's the more informative way to go.

Hopefully GOG is listening, and will make amendments/improvements to this.
So I wishlisted an upgrade.

Let's see how that plays out. :)
Half of the items on my wishlist went on sale and I didn't get notified by GOG. I did get the single email for the Fall Finale, but nothing about my wishlist. The tick for wishlist alerts is active, so what do I to ensure I receive these emails?

shadi.lahham: This feature would have been useful if it had some parameters to configure it, like, "Send me an email when games on my wishlist are discounted by at least X%". Otherwise you would get an email every 5 mins cos there's always some minor semi-permanent discount somewhere.
Yes.

shadi.lahham: Also, epic fail on turning this feature ON by default for all users!
No. >90% of the users wouldn't know about the feature then.

shadi.lahham: GOG should focus less on self promotion and marketing and maybe a little more on actually useful site features .. like ... umm .. search?? Kinda sad I still have to use Google to search via the GOG catalog because GOG search is so nerfed!
Yes.

Really? It was unticked in my case.... had to go in and enable it after I heard all the fuss about it.
