You've got mail!

Browsing catalogs, tracking sales, ain't nobody got time for that.
Well, you finally don't need to - we'll email you when a game on your wishlist goes on sale.

Starting this weekend, when a GOG.com game (or games) on your wishlist gets a discount, you'll receive an automatic email notification with a quick way to jump straight to the product page. Nice and convenient.
If you don't want to receive these notifications, you can always unsubscribe directly through the first email you receive, or by heading to Account > Orders & Settings > and changing your Subscriptions settings.

We're still in the early days of rolling out the feature, so we'll continue iterating and nailing down the details and functionality - but with nearly 13,000 votes for the option on our Community Wishlist, we sure hope it comes in handy!

Chebwa: So I guess we'll be able to sort games by Galaxy Achievement integration sometimes in 2019.
While you wait, here's a GOGmix that should be up-to-date which might help. (This list does NOT include games that track their own achievements internally, such as Banished and Terraria.)

EDIT: Finished sentence, closed parenthesis. ;)

Getting an email, when a game you want to buy is discounted is really useless? If you don't use the wishlist than you won't get those emails. But if you spent the effort to build your wishlist geting info when you can get those games cheaper is hardly useless...

And as others have mentioned, you can disable this easily, either in your "My Account" section, or just by clicking one link once you receive the first email.

Depends on how often you visit the site. Visiting the site multiple times per day does mean you are notified of sales quite early, so the email may be redundant.

Sure, of course you're right. But calling the whole highly requested* feature "useless" is going a bit overboard and childish.

Thanks! .. A dandy feature to have!

Yes it is. Or better: it is not as useful as it could be. Getting an email for every game you want with the actual price and discount is useful but unfortunately GOG cannot provide that. That's why I turned it off and stay with isthereanydeal.com which just delivers the better service.

Unfortunately getting to 13000 wishes might take a while.

Personally I use isthereanydeal for this since my wishlist here is overpopulated by games I consider to be in any way worth checking out (a big part of the catalog). But this is a great function to introduce, for sure.
Wishlist notifications are borked.

I've had them turned off since the day it was announced and just now received an email telling me "Items on your wishlist are now on sale".

Okay GOG, how do I *really* turn it off?
Yeah. I also got an email and I had turned the feature off. So while this might be a great feature for many people please make sure that off really means off -.-

Yeah, you're right - sorry for that. There was a bug, won't happen again.
