Told ya! Soundtrack is on Spotify.
And yeah, as for the fantastic form of exposition, we finally have a big-budget blockbuster which doesn't presume that its audience are a bunch of idiots.
Well, Prometheus was genuinely bad :-P When a videogame not focused on story provides better exposition than your prequel movie, you've got a problem :-P
jefequeso: The fact that there are going to be more movies actually worries me. It seems like there's nowhere to go now but down. Then again, I'm sure that's what everyone thought about Fury Road before it came out, given that it was the followup to a disappointing followup, 30 years late, with a rocky production cycle.
More like it seemed like another reboot in the age of reboots. Now most of those reboots weren't terrible, but were often 'Meh', which is precisely what I was expecting when we were sitting down in the cinema with my wife. When I was leaving with a feeling of psychical exhaustion, I just thought "God damn was I wrong". As for the sequels, pretty much, yeah - nobody expected this to be good, and Miller really seems to know precisely what he is doing. This movie is no accident - every detail has a meaning, every part has been made with love and care put into it. And yeah, as for the fantastic form of exposition, we finally have a big-budget blockbuster which doesn't presume that its audience are a bunch of idiots.
