They don't need to be on translator side, just look at some posters or advertises written in creative 'engrish' in asian countries. ;-)

this is more 90s I guess, with Donpachi games and others... I like more the style of Gradius (favorite) and R-Types...
R-Type was one of the ones I enjoyed and was actually decent at! I really enjoyed Xenon 2 on the Amiga :)
Galaga was the shmup I remember playing shitloads of in the 80s. There was a machine near my school that we found out accepted 2c coins instead of 20c, so we took days off school to exploit it lol
