Foxhack: Games For Windows Live.

Not only is the game trying to kill you, THE DRM WILL KILL YOUR SAVEGAME TOO.
Wasn't that only an issue with Arkham City on Steam? I think Steam cloud and GFWL saves didn't behave well together. No GFWL title I've had deleted my saves.
I'm happy that the game is coming out for the PC, but am actually a bit pissed off that there's going to be new content that those who bought the game when it first came out (when a PC version didn't seem like it would ever happen) probably won't ever see because Namco wants to get more money from us. Equal opportunity, don't let those who buy the game when it's first released get screwed over by a console change.

You sure it wont be coming out as DLC for consoles?

Better graphixz
=))
GFWL
=))...
Wait... WTF? O_O *brain melt*

I was kinda like "aslong as you do a good port and dont use GFWL i will buy it" with the classic "SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY" image... But i guess they dont want my money :(

Namco's done this before with Tales of Vesperia, so while they haven't made an official address about this, I'm quite nervous.
Games for windows live? What a shame, I wanted to play Dark Souls.
I wants never gets..

Hopefully they don't do that then.
I knew it, I knew it was going to be a broken port, and obviously no mod support either!!!
No settling down a bit, It did not say it's exclusive to Games for Windows Live, especially since this is a third party game.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Screw it. I'll buy the PS3 version then. GFWL can bite my ass.
I couldn't care less. I've had many more problems with Steam, all GFWL games I bought worked perfectly fine.
I'm too excited about Dark Souls making its way to the PC not to support it.

@Elmofongo
Don't be ridiculous. Plenty of PC-only games don't have any mod support and GFWL does not mean the port is going to be "broken". All Capom games utilize this service and that doesn't prevent them from being excellent.

Wrestling with GFWL very recently for over a day killed my buying money for this. I'll wait for a 5$ sale.

Never have I has such difficulty with software before. No buy.

My excitement has been somewhat dampened, I've had mixed experiences with gfwl.

considering everyone elses hate of GFWL i'm finding hard it to believe who is right or wrong
This news of GFWL is disappointing. I look at it and think of all the social bonuses you can get out of Steamworks support. Have I had as much trouble as a lot of the frustrated users have? Not really. I log in, it works, though the threat of having my keys disabled as a result of playing MY game too much bothers me. Add in a perceived network overhead in that any game I play through GFWL seems like it lags or is inconsistent in quality and... well, you get the picture.

Steam
----> 5.5 Million CCU, shown off to that playerbase.
----> Screenshots, Videos, "Your friend is now playing" popups increase exposure.
----> TF2 Genuine Pre-Order/Early Adopter hats can help push this too.

Yes, I'm writing all this on GoG. I know that, but I certainly think Dark Souls can do better with that kind of network backbone. We already know it won't be on GoG.com due to it's DRM. (Or at least it shouldn't be.. that would be a real big disappointment on GoG's side.)
