A small update to my
new house, I've begun to add stuff to it and house the pre-hardmode NPCs. The Party Girl got the trophy room mostly because I couldn't think of another place at the time, though I also discovered that I never got the Everscream trophy and that I haven't gotten a Flying Dutchman one yet either. Instead I plunked down both my UFO trophies for some reason.
I've also started furnishing the rooms for the hardmode NPCs, with a library for the Wizard and some martian stuff for the Cyborg. The Steampunker kinda belongs in the basement workshop with the Mechanic and Goblin Tinkerer, but I'd have to do some rearrangement of that to fit her in. Not sure where I want the bar for the Pirate, but next to the Merchant would be ok. I'm thinking of planting the Truffle about a screen to the left of this location, while the Tax Collector is probably just going to get one of the smaller rooms.
The teleporter has been set up to go to the Jungle, Tundra, Dungeon, Underworld and initial spawn location. The house is far enough to the left of the center that I can handle invasions without endagering my NPCs, so I linked to a teleporter at the default spawn for easy access. The two gates at each side are controlled by player-only pressure plates, actuators and some smart wiring, you basically just have to run at them to get through, they're tall enough to handle someone riding a mount and they're zombie proof.
