IAmSinistar: And yes, the "Update" box annoys me as well. Moreso because the updated flag disappears on the actual items as soon as you view them, yet stays in the toolbar for ages. It would be much better if it did the opposite.
Great minds and all that...

Perhaps it's a GOG forum faux pas to pimp one's own community wishlist requests, but I'll risk the wrath of the thread users ;) I submitted a request on this very subject of the annoying red flag earlier today: <span class="bold">Dismiss the red icon after viewing updated game</span>
