PincushionMan: Windows users (and also of NET 4+), feel free to utilize OnTopReplica. It's a handy little app that displays the thumbnail of the desired page, in a fully opaque or mostly transparent overlay to your desktop. Trick is not to minimize the Window you're scraping off of, otherwise it just freezes with the last item that was painted. Rumor has it that this works well with videos, so if you have some football matches you don't want to miss, but you want to continue the sleepy sheep sale, there you go.

Southpawe: Well I'm kinda partial to 3D third-person games because I grew up playing Crash Bandicoot and Spyro.
avatar
PincushionMan: I know I've logged over fifty hours in it, maybe closer to 75, and I'm still not completely finished with the dungeons. This was playing keyboard only. I'm interested to see how it plays with an Xbox for Windows controller. It is supposed to have support for that.
I have the sale pulled up on my ps vita that I have sitting under my monitor. So I can keep an eye on the sales and post on forums and stuff.

If you have a regular 360 controller you can just download the drivers for the windows controller and us it just like the official 360 controller for windows.
Finally got Grandia 2... This is one of those sales where I wonder if it was really worth the wait. *sigh*
I also have steam pulled up in the background to instantly check out any games that pull up on my Vita's screen.
well 10 games purchase and I received Massive Chalice .. undecided on that one.
Morning all. I'm ready for today's shift :)

ReynardFox: I keep looking at that "buy 9 more to unlock a free game" thing and keep hoping there's more to this sale than droning repetition...
I think it said the free games are only good till April 20th ish.

Edit: Actually it could just be talking about the codes them selves I guess. ???

I highly recommend Rebel Galaxy.

CatintheHeat: The one I'm looking for is Van Helsing. I usually am not into horrors but found this to be an action-RPG in the mold of Diablo. Of course it was sold out within a minute. Next time through...
If you don't mind using <redacted> it's cheaper to buy a bundle key. You can get 1 and 2 for a little over $2. Then 3 has a coupon going around if you grab the first 2 to make it $5.10, and once you have the trilogy you can go to http://www.neocoregames.com/2015/11/the-incredible-adventures-of-van-helsing-final-cut-is-here/ and get a <redacted> key for the Final Cut version at no extra charge. So you're talking about the full collection for around $7-8.

That's all just through some simple trading and promotions. Nothing fancy. I just wish GOG could match these types of deals. :P

MWink: I wouldn't recommend Van Helsing. They are very buggy and the developer doesn't seem too concerned with their GOG customers.
The base games were fixed in the Final Cut version that hasn't made it here yet I thought? They're still trying to maximize <redacted> sales first I think.
I have a complaint.

I love Insomnia sales. It is awesome for my already messed up sleeping pattern. However I cant see the game page directly from the sale window. I have to open a new window and search the game there. Every time.

Solution: create a steam account and run it in the background. Switch to steam to look up info on games.

Wow! And the sale's only been going for 15 hours. That's nothing in insomnia terms... Congratulations anyway. ^_^

Seriously though, I don't think the smaller numbers and perpetual rollover is a good marketing idea. There's really no incentive to sit here waiting, trying to estimate the next rollover to see if you can afford to leave the computer for an hour or so. Games come back again far too often to bother hanging out for them. I suppose it's less demanding on time than previous insomnias, so many people will prefer that, but I find it hard to dredge up any emotional investment in this one. And if I'm not invested, I'm far less likely to buy things I was on the fence about while waiting for "the" game I'm holding out for. Still, good for my bank balance, so it's an ill wind and all that...

Everyone's been complaining about that this time around, yet I don't recall it drawing much comment before. Has it actually changed, or are people just more aware of it this time?

That appears to be a new 'feature' for this sale. Apparently, they were having trouble with the img tags, too. They didn't have words in the picture, so all users saw during periods of heavy load was just a box and a buy now button.

It changed. In previous sales I am positive that we could right click and open game in new window. That was like in almost every sale so far.
If there was a good third person action adventure game for every 2D side scroller or dungeon crawler in this sale, I would be a very happy and broke man.
Yawn...

I feel like having something spacey.. like X3 or Darkstar One.. well, except not as shit as the latter...
