seaspanky: I spent so much time waiting and checking and I never once saw the Dungeons & Dragons Enhanced bundle show up. The last time it showed up I checked about two minutes after it sold out. Really, really disappointed here.
That was the only thing I really wanted but I never even saw it. I am not a fan of these types of sales.
Honestly, this one was not so good as the first one or Double insomnia. Now some classic releases please. :)

Well done Sleepy Sheep! :D

IDPLAY: The next time i would prefer less rounds and more copies each round again. Or atleast new games every new day to keep it exciting for longer than 2 additional days. The way the freebees got handled was okay though.

I liked the previous Insomnias more overall.
I second that. For the first few days, I dropped in now and then to have a look, then the sale lost me completely. I bought only one game (normally, my sale harvest is 5-10) because I just wasn't willing to spend hours staring at the screen, waiting for a flash deal to come.

Yet I love the way GOG experiments with their sales - if you don't try anything new, you can't discover anything new. And it proves they're still not just regular fossilized corporations like *some other* distributors. So I'm looking forward to another promo experiment sometime in the future.

Good point!
I don't think any anger about the sale format is justified. Sure, it wasn't ideal, but I don't blame them for mixing things up and not making it easy for us. Everything will be on sale again soon enough, we can be patient.

I'm ashamed to admit that I probably watched 75% of the entire five day sale, rarely sleeping and always having it up on one of my multiple screens. I somehow missed every instance of the one thing I wanted (D&D bundle), but it was still fun and I got some good games.
Never a fan of the insomnia sales. The free game was badly handled too, if you buy enough games earlier you will get a free game. If you buy later you miss out because they have already gone. Not particularly fair, everyone should get a chance to receive one, not just have a time limit. I prefer a sale or bundle offers. Lost interest in the insomnia sales after the first one went live.

I am waiting for 3 concrete games with the money reserved since a while (i want more, but i'm focused in them now), and i think in this sale i can pick all of them, or at least, some of them. But with 500 games in the sale, my surprise is anyone of them was one of that 3 games. There are of the same publisher, i don't understand why they included some games of a publisher and others don't.

I think i was unlucky, but this sale for me was a waste of time.

Also, the 2-3 last days of the sale were a bit odd without new games. Very very repetitive all the time if you are keeping an eye on the sale, with games sometimes flying in seconds and others that seems anybody want them. In other hand the discounts were great.

I don't like this system, but maybe with some tweaks and inside of a sale of the whole catalog, works better.

a4plz: Haha that was a laugh, I was waiting to see the next deal before I went out for groceries and suddenly BOOM. No more banner.
yeah, that was messy.

Last Insomnia we had two point.something rounds (there was a sort of debacle towards the end) so people knew when to expect the next game to be around. I mean, if you missed it, it wouldn't come back for hours. And once a game appeared for a 3rd time... that was it, you missed it for good.

This time however some games just vanished from the roster while others just kept reappearing and even others just went by too fast.

I missed Act of War by mere minutes.

Also, a last call banner would have been appreciated, so that I didn't waste time waiting for a game that wasn't going to come up again.

Well that escalated quickly.
If memory serve this was one of the shortest sale. Every thing ran out of stock so quickly.
I wanted to get J.U.I.L.I.A. from trade but it never happened.
I hope GOG will learn from this sale.
Wow, the sale ended while I slept. Was there any special thing at the end? Some appearance of Jack Keane or so?
This sale was so confusing. Everything, except the bundles, showed up for about 10 times and you could never be sure when something you missed shows up. Alsl, I thought that the sale would continue at least thru this day, or else I wouldn`t have gone to sleep.
And the thing with buying 10 games for a freebie... Well, this was too much. I was able to get 7 games during the sale, not everyone likes every game!
I didn't partake in this sale. I looked in a few times, but as I have the majority of what I want here, I didn't bother camping out hoping that the few titles I want would show up.

Learn what exactly? That they sell a crapton of games regardless of sale format?

Yeah, I feel this insomnia sale was handled extremely poorly. From the selection of games, to the decision to give every appearance of a title only a handful of copies, to that wretched "bonus-system" for freebies (which I am slowly starting to hate in general). It was a mess; and the fact that the stock of free games was exhausted so suddenly will scare away a lot of new customers who may feel like they were scammed.
