It’s been 6 months since Dubai was wiped off the map by a cataclysmic sandstorm. Thousands of lives were lost, including those of American soldiers sent to evacuate the city. Today, the city lies buried under sand, the world’s most opulent ruin. Now, a mysterious radio signal is picked-up from Dubai, and a Delta Recon Team is sent to infiltrate the city. Their mission is simple: Locate survivors and radio for Evac. What they find is a city in the grip of war. To save Dubai, they’ll have to find the man at the heart of its madness—Col. John Konrad.

Yeshu: Seriosuly? 80% off is still to much for you? There is being resourfull and then there is cheap.

Enebias: For some people, me included, sometimes the budget for gaming is 0. Taxes, health expenses and troubles of any kind drain a lot of people everywhere in the world.
This point of view doubles when talking about re-buying something.
Don't be too hasty to judge, you don't know the conditions of others. Sometimes being "cheap" is a requirement and not a choice.
Then why bother with gaming if you don't have resources for it? If your life expenses are so low that you can't afford even this? Then you should quit gaming as you clearly have more important needs in life.

Yup. Keep being an elitist. "Dont game if you are poor, pleb!" Personally, I am not poor, but I don't disparage those who are. I like to run giveaways for those less fortunate than myself.

The guy said it himself that his budget for games is 0. In that kind of situation I would concern myself with more important things than luxury entertainment. Especially if 4-6$ is way out his league.

Thank you.

StrongSoldier: What happens with the online achievements? Are they eliminated from the game? Or are they still added to the games and is it impossible to obtain them?
avatar
Andrey82: For SpecOps The Line there was always ONLY campaign achievements. Checked on Steam - there not a single online achievement for this game. So no achievements removed and they all can be achived. :)
And what about games like xcom that have multiplayer mode? Eliminate multiplayer achievements on gog.com ???

Well that escalated rather quickly.
Thank you to 2K and GOG for this release, that just leaves Darkness 2, the Borderland games, and BioShock Infinite on my wishlist of 2K games to get here (not to mention all those oldies like Quarantine 1 + 2, Nomad, Transport Tycoon Deluxe, and so on). :)

Mafwek: You could have played Stardew Valley, but you chose to play military shooter and kill some dudes to be a hero, and here's the price for that.
I played the military shooter because people said that this one dares to do things a little differently. The thinking man's military shooter, if you will. I booted that sucker up and went "Ok, game! Challenge me!" only to find out that the story was cobbled together from the recycling bin of Hollywood cliches and gameplay that is the exact same as any other military shooter, only with 100% more patronizing "Tsk tsk tsk, aren't you a naughty boy for playing this game!" posturing

One of the reviews called it "distressing for people who want their ending tied up neatly with a bow" and I have to disagree with that point. That is EXACTLY what this game does: it ties everything up neatly with a bow. There is zero room for ambiguity or interpretation by the player, the devs have already figured everything out for you. So, again, I'm left wondering why so many people think that this game subverts military shooter conventions, when it actually reaffirms most of them.

I don't know, merely ending leaves a lot of things to interpretation; gameplay is greatly different from CoD 4, Battlefield 2 or Insurgency if we are going to speak about military shooter I played; and if story recycles something it's Silent Hill and Heart of Darkness novel. Anything else?
Nice addition. I remember reading about this one some years ago and thinking it sounded a lot more complex and interesting than the typical cookie-cutter shooter.
Exactly 700 votes, nice to see this show up. I get the sense that multiplayer is the most complex thing for devs to implement into GOG releases.

No personal interest in the game but I think I do have a Steam key I got with a Humble Bundle years ago, so 2K Connect titles would be welcome. :p

I wonder why Take 2 hasn't released any of their early-mid 90s titles here.
Awwww YEAH! Gog's bringing out the hot games early this week.
Nice addition to the GOG collection. Personally not into military type shooters, but heard many great things about this game. Thx for the 80% off launch price! It's a buy for me. ;)
At this rate I wonder if 2k will release Borderlands 1 on GOG to hype players for Borderlands 3. Then I'll own the sixth copy of the game.
Nice release from 2K ! Next one might be Homefront ?
