You've cut the DRM out, eh?

What a wonderful philosophy you have.
A fan of the movies. :) Never heard of this game! Under what rock was I hiding? :/ Happy to see many good comments about this movie tie-in game. Instabuy for me! Great price with bundled DLCs!
I didn't even know this game existed... (That's what happens when you don't pay attention to DRMed releases...)
Let's play it and find out if the flaming guitar guy is there!

MysterD: This game was already DRM-FREE on Origin.

Sachys: From what I know it is Denuvo free, but still requires the Origin client to launch.
Wait, I thought it was DRM-Free there?

Anyone, can anyone else who owns this on Origin confirm or deny?

This game's been on my Steam wishlist for a long time, and it's come on sale for pretty cheap on Humble or some other 3rd party authorized seller a number of times. Being a game that had Denuvo however it was on my "will never buy as long as it has Denuvo" list. I figured I'd get it free from Epic Games eventually (like all games will be <grin>), or it'd come here. Either way I have extreme patience.

And here we are now... and at a not bad price too. Sadly I've got insane amounts of games I haven't played yet so I'll hold off on getting this one to a future sale down the road sometime, but I am super happy to see the game show up here freed from its Denuvo shackles. Most likely will be a whimsical purchase in a future sale when I'm in an apocalyptic vibe. :)

I now return to my regularly scheduled program of pouting while I wait for current generation high end CPUs and GPUs to be available for purchase in Canada without standing on my head, so I can actually play some modern titles and get more than <wince> FPS. :)

Isn't having product-related age restricted video on product card counterproductive?

Loger13: Ok, WBIE, way to go!
Middle-Earth: Shadow of ... , more MK series (KE, XL, 11), Injustice and F.E.A.R. 3 next please!
And then the rest of the Lego games.

acute71: The fact that WB still occasionally release games here gives me hope for the future ;) (Injustice 1 and 2 would be sweeeet)
I personally hope for newer Hitman games (FULLY OFFLINE without reliance on Galaxy of course).
As well as Hitman Sniper Challange (since it's missing) for that matter.

Magmarock: Any idea why that might be?

vv221: Feral Interactive are well-known DRM advocates.
Yes and no. Their game startup scripts (at least Linux ones) are satiricly highly suggesting Steam overrides could be done with not much work.
I didn't take a look at their github repo in months but before that they even included some comments on how to bypass some checks.
Is it possible to complete this version to 100%?
I Already own it on Steam, but insta-bought it here for being DRM-free.

Also, apparently it comes with more DLCs. On Steam I can only see/find 3 DLCs: "Pentacal GulpCut", "Rockmaw Brawla" and " ThirstCutter" vs 10 DLCs that are included in the GOG version, as posted on page 1 of this thread by emter_pl (GOG blue).

Someone please correct me if I am wrong :)

Glad that this is here.
Is this game any good?

It's typical open-world Avalanche "destroy X areas, enemies, things, etc" warfare mixed w/ the Batman Arkham hand-to-hand combat and RAGE 1 style car-combat.

It's solid as an actual game, if you like open-world "go destroy everything" type of stuff.

Can get very repetitive though, IMHO...w/out any other real hooks to it.

It really lacks development of character, story, depth, meaning, and anything of that sort - like pretty much every other Avalanche game, such as Just Cause series of games and also RAGE 2.

Not that anyone was probably expecting any of that stuff, but...yeah, it lacks something to make it super-compelling to me.

Definitely a game for benchmarking and to kick around, when you just want to destroy stuff and roam around this open-world Wasteland.

If you played the game when it came out - yeah, it was certainly one of the best looking and best running games, at that time.

GuyNamedErick: Been thinking about this game for a while, nice to see it has all the DLC included! Wonder if we can see Injustice and F.E.A.R 3 anytime soon.
Injustice probably won't be coming to GOG. You never know with these things though. As for F.E.A.R. 3 I hope we never get it on GOG. It's the worst game in the series. Same goes for Dead Space 3. I hope GOG adds Dead Space 2 to the catalogue soon though.

I liked FEAR 3 and even more so Dead Space 3 & its DLC - but yeah, those are nowhere as great previous entries.

FEAR 1 was great and its expansions were good; FEAR 2 was pretty good; and FEAR 3 was just "okay."

I loved Dead Space 1 & 2 - but yeah, Dead Space 3 ain't as great as the previous games. Dead Space 3 lacks the scariness and whatnot, except in its DLC. Dead Space 3's DLC brought back the scariness, but a lot of the enviroments felt recycled.

Injustice 1 & 2 were awesome; would love to see those hit GOG w/ offline single-player modes & campaigns.

There should be no major differences between the Steam and GOG versions. In 2015 the list of known DLC to date for the game was as follows on Steam:

1) The Ripper (extra body car)
Available for preorders, released. (Steam ID 373550)

2) Stampeedy Knokshok Hood Ornament
Available for certain preorders, released (Steam ID 374352)

3) ThirstCutter (extra car)
Released for everyone that owns the game (Steam ID 373551)

4) Rockstar Prizes (2 separate extra hood ornaments)
Rockmaw Brawla Hood Ornament (Steam ID 374353) & Pentacal GulpCut Hood Ornament (Steam ID 374354)

5) Circa Blades Hood Ornament
For ordering the console versions at Walmart, unreleased (?) (Steam ID 374355)

6) Saw Daddy Hood Ornament
Not listed on SteamDB yet.

7) Grizzlegrinda Hood Ornament
Not listed on SteamDB yet.

8) Road Warrior Pack (12 extra Hood Ornaments)
Not listed on SteamDB yet.

9) Scrotus' Battle Brand
Extra car decal awarded with WBPlay

What is certain... is that Mad Max closed its servers in October 2020. Maybe one of the reasons to see it on GOG today.

IIRC, Origin had some specific DLC's to them (3 of them); and then Steam had some specific to them (most have 4; some have 6 probably from pre-order bonuses).

EDIT:
Yeah, see here on this Steam Guide on the DLC's - https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=825817821
