Seems there are more DLCs in the Origin version, according to this thread:

cruiser
flamethrower
hot_dog_van
return_of_the_riders
rocket_truck
storm_raiders

@GOG, could you ask your contacts about them and give us some answers, please?

In the thread they also said that those DLCs weren't working if I am not mistaken.

" - All the unknown ones, their files only weight 5kb, so they seem to be unfinished/never completed/ideas.
Oh, that's a downer. I heard WB ordered Avalanche to scrap all work on DLCs because they didn't believe in Mad Max."

Later in the thread they say

"there are only 6 DLCs on Steam and most packages contain only 4 of them.
A total of 9 working DLCs exist for all platforms,"

and last but not least

"There's a total of 9 DLC...
one of the DLC has 12 ornaments(The Road Warrior pack)
so having 9 is correct.
your DLC folder should look like this:
https://i.postimg.cc/C12vG0rV/MM-DLC.jpg
--
--
this what the Origin game has for DLC
you can see quite a few that are just blank entries, being they gave up on the game long ago
https://i.postimg.cc/SRCPZQKC/allMMdlc.jpg"

So it seems as if we have everything already.

Connect was nice (I got Limbo and one or two other games iirc) but if it wasn't helping GOG grow I get them basically removing it. I'm also a fan of GOG doing deep discounts, compared to their stance ~8 years ago, despite understanding it isn't necessarily a "good thing"; a good number of people will rebuy old popular Steam releases at 75%+ off I think.

blotunga: I wouldn't be that pessimistic, we did get Mankind Divided, so there is always hope.

Tbh, I would love to see some SQE games here, like the new Tomb Raiders.
Maybe. Some publishers, like EA or Ubi, I wouldn't all that shocked if we never get anything from them again, though I hope I'm wrong and by now I know half-decade gaps aren't uncommon. As for SE, I want TR Legend and Anniversary.

MarkoH01: I would say getting the complete package for a pretty good discount is the correct way
My general sentiment (though I know I chopped off more context you provided)

UCrest: The correct question would be... Is GOG willing to invest in its catalogue of games out of its own pocket?
The idea of turning GOG into a kind of video game publisher and not just a wholesale and retail portal for digital products is a good one, but it requires a willingness and an investment that GOG should be willing to participate in. Don't you think so?
Humble Games (Store) is doing that, so I don' know, why GOG could not do the same?

Is GOG themselves making enough of a profit here to actually spend that $ on publishing those kind of games?

I could see though those above GOG in the chain doing this though - i.e. their parent companies like say CD PROJEKT S.A.

Thank you for the highlights, Marko. I've read the whole thread, but I'm not sure if I'm buying what those guys say.

I mean, this new Origin version came two and a half years after the initial game release, managed to include the PS4 DLC, but somehow left some remnant files in plain sight from unfinished DLCs? And the small size doesn't mean anything, they could be just some "activator" files for the DLCs, like most DLCs are nowadays. Or they could've been something tied to online features that doesn't work anymore.

What caught my attention, is someone saying the Origin version "has less storms". And that's just sad, 'cause I haven't encountered any storms yet, in about 30 hours of gameplay, apart from a scripted one, I believe, in the tutorial missions.

But why should they lie? They are customers just like you and me.

I didn't mean they are lying, but just that their assumption that those are incomplete DLCs, based on their small size files, could be wrong. I guess will never know for sure.

Then let me quote one last post

"Finished, and checking:
- all 9 known DLC included.
- Savegames compatible.
- The PS4 exclusives are included, and they are all around the world map (although it seems there is one of the ornaments that has an extra requirement to be unlocked, completing a Wasteland mission, so the check to unlock doesn't seem to be working properly for an alrready completed savegame)
- All the unknown ones, their files only weight 5kb, so they seem to be unfinished/never completed/ideas.
- No WB ID, and no Battle Brands included, so it is missing that one bit. "

This is from someone who did actually check the origin version and he was unable to access anything vfrom the 5kb DLCs. So if GOG has all ornaments - including the PS4 exclusives - we really are fine, I'd say.
low rated
Another boring messenger simulator is coming....Mad messenger.
This is such an underrated game and with a decent story too. Not so much the main one but in all of the little pieces of lore you can find all over the world. Take your time with this one, folks and get immersed. It's worth it.
After about +70 hours of playing I can definitely say, that MM deserve all positive feedback that it has. Besides some minor shortcomings, like grinding (but almost all sandbox oriented game has it), clumsy graphic options that cannot be disabled (like DOF, Blur / Bloom, etc),- Game really superb. So I can recoomend it to gamers that like cars, car combat, postapocaliptic atmosphere and MM movies (at least some ot them).

So the GOG does not include the WBID Battle Brands?

No, what you quoted was a report about the origin version and not the GOG version. Regarding the GOG version I have another quote for you:

https://steamcommunity.com/app/234140/discussions/0/3101264555071336259/#c3079873089687833028

"Well, that's interesting, as the GOG page mentions the Battle Brand decal as included (which was tied to the wbid online bit), I had to check it out.

And yes, the Battle Brand is unlocked, making the GOG version the most complete one, unless the Origin version was updated somewhen since last I checked it."

Thanks man, do you have any idea how it unlocked within this version? Is it something in a random folder in the game files?
