Is this in-game, or just on the game page?

If it's in-game, which seems likely, then yes, it's pretty shameless -- but that's nothing new for GOG.

For some games it was possible to preload the whole game except for one small file. So in release das you only had to download about 1MB and could start gaming right away.

I would love to see this game on a more mobile platform such as Nintendo's Switch or a similar tablet style device. I think this game would lend itself nicely to mobile hardware and I could play it without being tied down to my PC.

What are the chances of a port in the future?

chandra: To clarify, the extra goodies you receive with the pre-order WILL be available after the game's release as well.
CD PROJEKT RED does not believe in luring people in with some exclusive pre-order items. It's more about supporting the studio and excitement for what's to come :)
I somehow missed it, but this is really great and I'm happy to have preordered.

Yah, it's a placeholder main exe that just has a splash screen saying you can play it tomorrow... I guess the update tomorrow will just be replacing the exe, so it should be pretty quick

Great! So, um, does this mean that GOG will be doing away with the massive banner, then?

btw, guyz, but incase you didn't know, they have this new witcher game that's not like the others, and it's lyk, really coolz and lyk you shouldn't miss out on it. I mean, sure ,maybe you got a notification before about it, but, lyk, it's really important you get on this hype train.

By the way, Is this game going to try to start abusing us, too, because we're not paying attention to it? Will it become the Tsundere witcher came becaue we don't care?

Sony does it for their first party games... Microsoft does it for theirs... Valve for theirs... EA for theirs... Ubisoft for theirs... you get the point... I wouldn't expect GOG to not push a first party title just the same... they're in the business of making money and the only way you make money is... advertise
