So yeah, you are one of those Zealots, easy to see since from the very beginning I said, welcome, to your list, but I just said based in my absolutely acknowledge opinion about this issue, as a competitive player, game industry professional, multi platform gamer, with more than 30 years of gaming behind me, that less than 60FPS are more than ok, but 60fps are better.

I've been thinking about doing something similar though I would prefer to cover a greater scope; rather than focusing on framerates( you leave that detail for each game in the description) instead calling it "Not entirely smooth games" or something similar. Even though in general I prefer 60FPS+, I don't mind playing old games that run let's say 10FPS like Heroes 3 or perhaps 30FPS as long as it feels like the engine is solid enough. That way people can much easier make their own judgement and not get hung up on some silly framerate war.

No, points A through D are irrelevant. Just because you know someone who can't see the difference means nothing to the people who can. Including those who managed to hack the game past it's 30 fps cap of which you said was impossible.

I don't think you understand. The critics of the framerate police are the ones wishing death and disease thus being the most vile; while advocates at worst are being nit picky, and you have inadvertently agreed with this. Personally I always thought that framerate information should appear in the game description page.

I think it's a useful information to have along with the game genre, features, size, controller support, etc... there should be a en entry listing whenever the game max frame rate is capped at 30, 60, uncapped, or NA in case "FPS" measurement doesn't really make sense (i.e. for older adventure games).

And yes for TPS and FPS it can be important and can greatly impair/improve the enjoyment of the game, so for me it would me normal to give this information to potential buyer so that they can make an informed buying buying decision.

Right, but there's a difference between "can be better" and "unacceptable". Yes 60fps is better than 30fps, but no there is nothing wrong with 30fps.

Yes there is. It is absolutely unacceptable in this day and age for a game to be released with a locked framerate. I ask of you to present one good reason why this is. Things like physics and coding don't count because that's just plain bad coding. There's no advantage what so ever to using a forced 30fps cap and no studio should do it. EVER!
