They're doing good work with Turok and System Shock, despite GOG users still feeling a bitter taste in our mouths. I hope they're able to port the N64 Turok games at some point; I think Night Dive can have a promising future with porting. (Heck I wish Atari would let them have at the Blood license.)

I don't think that Atari own the series. In a similar case to Heretic/HeXen, they seem to only own the publishing rights as a result of having purchased the original publisher (GT Interactive), while the games themselves remained property of Monolith Productions. My conclusion stems from two observations:

1) The games were nowhere to be found during Atari's auction. Considering that Atari was willing to even sell Rollercoaster Tycoon and their Atari 2600 catalog, I seriously doubt they would leave Blood of the auction if they owned it. Another game that they didn't include in their auction was Master of Magic, which they claimed was the case because they didn't own the game, but only had publishing rights for it. Coincidence? I don't think so.
2) According to Monolith Productions' site, Blood belongs to Warner Bros, their parent company.

Good observations, I'll try to remember this.

It would be nice of them to release Hyperspeed here, too...
Get your hand on Blood Omen.

That's it.

Yeah, I'm still really hoping that shows up.
There's some insight on the legal situations with some classics in this Reddit AMA:

https://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/4pbc01/iama_founder_of_night_dive_studios_stephen_kick/

I wasn't aware there was no interest in reviving the Dune games. Darn.

"Drakan: Order of the Flame is definitely high on the list! Discworld is a bit tricky and something we've been working on for a long time. Spoke with Brian Herbert and there is currently no interest in reviving the Dune games. The Neverhood rights are split up between EA and Doug TenNapel - it's doubtful anything will come of that, but thankfully we have the spiritual successor Armikrog!
Eternal Darkness is one of my favorites! I'd love to have a PC release of that though I believe Nintendo owns the Trademark.
Another title I'd like to see is Metal Fatigue!"

"The Humongous rights were split up after they were purchased from Atari. The Adventure games went to Tommo and the Backyard Sports games went to a company called Epic Gear. I bet it wouldn't take too much work to get the originals back out there! 1st pick Pablo Sanchez!"

"We will be releasing Starship Titanic on Steam relatively soon though!" - I think I set them on the right track here. ;)

"Turok was a pretty difficult title to secure. It took the most amount of time to work out deal terms but being one of my favorite games I was willing to go the distance.
Another good one is Killing Time - we thought we had the rights, but it turns out another party owned them leaving us empty handed. We lost a considerable amount of money on that deal that still stings. I'd love to get that sorted out one day, we have the source code and had plans to release a remastered version.
One game (out of many) that we haven't secured is Blade Runner. I've made a ton of progress but with the new movie being announced it's been increasingly difficult. It took MONTHS just to track down a member of the Blade Runner Partnership and I know almost every original team member from Westwood by name."

"1. Any idea if Chasm: The Rift will ever be re-released? I know the rights holder and as it's a personal favorite of mine I'd love to re-release it. It's definitely in my backlog, but no guarantee that it'll happen."

Thanks for posting that. It's a shame that Killing Time and several others are lost in legal limbo. Is there any chance they could still get the rights to Killing Time from the other party?

Also, I'm really excited to see Turok 2 coming to GOG. I've had a great time with Turok so far. (FPS platforming notwithstanding.)

No worries, Killing Time isn't lost to legal limbo, it's coming to GOG via the same company that brought Uprising 1 and 2 and Requiem: Avenging Angel to GOG:

YES! I was afraid that one was long forgotten by everyone except me or some other old gamers with odd taste in games . :)
