Yeah... I heard if you create a PayPal dispute, they don’t fight it and give you your money back. The problem is when you want it back on your credit card. I almost always use PayPal but this time I happened to have my card on me and figured what the heck, why not just pay with my card this time. My mistake.

I know I could get it back with a credit card charge back but I really don’t want to do that. It not only risks your account getting banned but it also just isn’t something I like doing. I would rather just stick with the store, but I didn’t realize it would be such a long and arduous process...

amiga_jboy: I was able to get a refund.

I'll describe the process of my refund. (For your reference)

Purchased Cyberpunk2077 from GOG using Paypal on December 10.

Requested refund from GOG support on Dec. 18.

On the same day, GOG support asked me if I wanted to use my wallet. I replied that I would like to be reimbursed in full to my Paypal account.

Waited for reply from GOG support.

On December 23, I used Paypal's "Report a Problem" to send an email to GOG support.
At that time, I created and attached a pdf document with the email images we exchanged and the reason for the refund.
(The pdf is so that people other than GOG support can understand the reason for the refund. Just in case.)

On December 24, I received an email from GOG support saying that they had refunded my money.
At the same time, I also received an email from Paypal saying I was refunded.
Of course you didn't mention the fact that it needs to be within 180 days. Otherwise the 'PayPal method' doesn't work.

Still waiting on gog support: This coming monday it will be week 3.0
We gonna be waiting a long time it seems.

As our service is currently extremely overwhelmed - with an ongoing, unprecedented volume of incoming requests, many times higher than ever before - this will help us provide support to Users that still need it. If that is you, we kindly ask for your patience - our agents will get back to you as soon as possible.
We are also working on making sure we will be able to offer Winter Sale discounts to those that we couldn't have helped during the promo period. Please also rest assured that if you requested a refund within 30 days from purchase, no matter if our Support gets back to you after that period passes, you are still eligible for a refund.
This is an automated message.

I intend to keep waiting till I get my money back cause I sure as hell ain't gonna keep a censored game.

Mygogac: What do you mean, cencored?
Just read the CDPR forum.
https://forums.cdprojektred.com/index.php?threads/suggestions-nudity-megathread-remove-censorship-and-bring-back-what-advertised.11052956/

The game was Adult rated but the strippers and everything are so covered up the game feels more like it has a "WOKE" filter applied on top. People are questioning what's cyberpunk about this game seeing as there is no nudity or even drugs in the game. Cyberpunk Genre is all about degeneracy taking over.

They even advertised the game as having full-frontal nudity in the game with a polygon interview while showing nothing. They now even censoring any forum post at CDPR that brings this up.

Heh, didn't cross my mind as I stopped playing before the tutorial ended.

They indeed seem to have fallen.

Should've known, they even cencored a post I made way before Cyberpunk 2077 was released, to not give in and make an adult game.

The seeds were there since then. They wanted the Christmas family sales.

The fucked up thing about that is then all winter sales will be over. Was planning on buying the new Yakuza game with the refund or even invest in Nier Replicant.

Did you reply to your ticket and get that as a response, of was it sent out automatically? It's somewhat reassuring that they have confirmed they will honor any refunds requested within 30 days of purchase, though it's still pretty ridiculous that they (presumably) expect it to possibly take longer than a month to process some refunds. Shame that those of us who used credit cards instead of paypal are bumped to the back of the line.

I'm still somewhat concerned that in my case even following the link from the original email shows no ticket (I just get a "page missing/disabled" error), but I guess even if my request got wiped somehow I can retry before my 30 days is up.

Automatic. Last reply I sent was for "Do you want wallet"; I said... "No, refund to original payment method". This was
Mon, Dec 14.

I got that auto-reply today, and replied it with:
"I am still waiting my refund, order Nº #XXXXXXXX"
Hours later I had been refunded, I had a reply from a real person of the support team and from PayPal.
I haven't used the PayPal dispute procedure.

I want to thank the GOG store for their gamer friendly policy. I had played the game for 6 or 7 hours, in any other store (Steam or Epic) I'd have had to keep the game.

Merry Xmas and a happy new year.

I am pretty sure CDPR will gain more love than other platforms today. They really took a hard punch then still maanged to get back up without quitting.

One more thing i want to say is, there is no such thing is live long to be a villain and die trying to become a hero in a gaming industry. You can become both if you choose one of those path.

For an example, what Capcom did back in 2019, their reputation has grown back after releasing 2 great games (DMC5 and the new Resident Evil 2). Then after a following year, their reputation has been dropped because of one game (Resident evil 3 the remake) that is shorter than Resident evil 2 the remake.

CDPR is different. So they are not like these companies. I'm glad to buy games from them and in the future, i hope their platform becomes bigger as Steam.

I got it automatically send to me, YOu can't get to your support ticket most likely because of the website itself cause I got the same problem at the start but if you wait a bit it'll load itself.

YOu gotta be aware they have to with this game anyway cause they screwed over fans with many promises but delivered a broken game that's pretty much empty. And I could care less about GOG, to be honest, I only care for the DRM free option. GOG is a biased storefront that selects games based on their staff preferred taste and rejects anything else under the idea of them being "Too Niche" so, in other words, they'll reject Japanese shoot em ups and many other games that have been offered to them.

I received the same automated email, heavy support load, will refund when it's my turn, might take a while, still eligible even after 30 days have passed so long as the request was made within the time period.

At this point, I am just glad they will get to it eventually, even if not quickly.

Since they're honoring their refund policy, "GOG and CDPR are bad" turns to "CDPR made a game I don't like, didn't live up to the expectations and advertisement, so I diddn't buy it".

It's unfortunate many of us didn't get what we expected, however we didn't really lose something other a temporary loss of 60 euros.

When CDPR is back and creates another Witcher 3, I'll be here to support it. Just not with a preorder next time, most likely.

The hilarious part is they got new fans and they love them. So many people defending the sorry state the game is in, trying to silence anyone who says otherwise.
