Neopets: The Darkest Faerie

Banger soundtrack--a lot of people don't know the Mass Effect composer worked on these tracks and they're as wonderful as you'd expect. Neopia is an iconic world for a lot of 90's/2000's kids, but Neopets was flash-based with big birds-eye-view maps; being able to actually run around the Neopian landscape in an action RPG was wonderful. It deserves some love and bugfixes.

First game I ran on my pentinum 4 (from poor country) and ancient graphic card. Enjoyed it till the dreaded OB64 and then came back during covid and enjoyed it with new people during lockdown time. Wish this game is able to be maintained by the community even after official support ends this year.

I went to college for game design. During my sophomore year, I had an assignment in Twine, and I decided to make a text-based RPG where you play as a dragon. Fast forward a few weeks and I was running out of steam, struggling to write the last bits I needed to finish the project. I was playing The Headmaster at the time, and saw this game recommended in the Discord server. It seemed like an interesting premise, so I checked it out. I absolutely fell in love. Not only does it strongly appeal to my own tastes (power dynamics; playing as a villain), but the world is fascinating, with the writing, art, voice acting, and every other aspect at an incredibly high standard of quality. The game has a strong emphasis on player agency, letting you do pretty much whatever you want, and did I mention you play as a dragon? Hell yeah! Playing it set a new standard for h-games for me and it quickly became one of my favorites, giving me the inspiration I needed to finish my school assignment. A year later, I picked up the game again, once more having a blast exploring the huge amount of sexy content it has. I saw you could apply to be a writer (with a warning about somewhat high standards). Summer break had just started, so on a whim I sent in an application, including the dragon game I had made the year prior. On June 22, 2022, I joined the team and started working on the project as a volunteer. Since then, I have discovered that not only is the game itself at an unmatched level of quality for its genre, but the people behind it are all absolutely incredible to work with. Everyone involved cares greatly about the project, while being simply delightful human beings. These days my role has expanded a bit, and working on the game became my first job out of college. I could not ask for a better workplace. The game is incredible, it has a great community, and the people behind it are genuinely wonderful. I can't put into words how fortunate I feel to be a part of it all.

Developers from another studio are suing TVGS for copyright infringement and are attempting to have it removed from steam completely. I want to preserve this game by buying it on GOG and being able to play it in the event TVGS loses the lawsuit. Thanks

Might not been the flashiest, fanciest game out there but I played a shitload of it. The game became unplayable when they killed the servers, because the always-online DRM failed to connect. If GOG could somehow bring this game back, I'd repurchase it in a heartbeat.

It's literally a game about good old games. How is this not on GOG already?? I have not played it my self yet, I hope to do that with a future GOG release. But I've watched & listened to hours of people praising this game as one of the best of 2024. And I can't stop listening to the almost 7-hour-long!! 8-bit soundtrack goodness these games come with. This project truly is an incredible achievement.

This is the game that convinced my dad to get an Xbox all of those years ago and in turn introduced me to the legacy of legendary games from the Xbox and its successor the 360. This game needs to be shown to newer audiences.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

It is very much a non-traditional LEGO game, but I really love what they managed to create. The environments and characters are nothing short of gorgeous and the game itself runs very well on modest hardware (stable 60FPS on a 1060 6GB). The levels and hubs are beautiful, very fun to explore and full of content and cool encounters (I especially adore Cloud City and Tatooine hubs). You can see that they took care and not just threw the old formula out of the window - every "breaking" design change I can see being justified within the greater context. I can understand some of the criticisms of the game - the main chunk of gameplay is exploring hubs and completing challenges/quests and main plot levels aren't really the center stage anymore. It's also fair to not like the new quest system - it was really fun for me, but I can see some people being thrown off. The sheer number of collectibles is also a bit daunting and (despite a lot of fun encounters) you can get bored/burnt out pretty quickly. I 100%-ed the game in coop and it was insanely fun and rewarding. Note though, that it did take me a lot of time (both in in-game hours and real time) and I can see myself being a bit bored had I not spaced out the gameplay sessions more. I would love to be able to purchase it on GOG - given the latest track record of older LEGO games coming to GOG it probably won't be anytime soon, but it would be really cool to add it to my GOG LEGO games collection. It's a really cool game, it'd be a shame if it was lost to time.

TimeSplitters: Future Perfect

Hilarious story mode. Great multi-player. Loved all the zany characters you could chose from. Get sick of the maps? Make your own! So many challenges and funnies. Playing co-op, the first time I was attacked by the zombie cows, I may have peed laughing. They ended up killing me. Worth it. Played a lot of multi-player too with friends. If we can bring it back it would be grat to add online multi-player so I can play with the old gang now that we are so far apart. So much nostalgia!

Bully: Scholarship Edition

I know it hasn't been delisted or hard to find, heck I can even get it on my phone, but man do I wish Rockstar hadn't pushed this game to the side. Having a fun alternative for GTA with smaller scale and more comedic aspects was so fun. Even half of the classroom minigames were fun, though there are a few I despise even to this day. Man I wish this game had a sequel.

lots of good games were totally dead with their console system. condemned 2 is one of them. i played this game on my xbox 360, and it was quite good. i was young and dumb so i sold my xbox 360 and its games, now i have no way to play this game. i want this game back.

Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction

Mercenaries is perhaps one of the most atmospheric and best sandbox-driven open world games from the 6th generation console era with unparalelled destruction for the time; there is nothing else like it. Mercenaries features extremely unique and satisfying gameplay systems all backed by a phenomenal soundtrack by Chris Tilton and Michael Giacchino. Mercenaries is a game I always find myself coming back to even after nearly 20 years accompanied by a lot of fond memories from my childhood and I would love nothing more to see it properly preserved on PC.

One of the most impactful trilogies in gaming, Killzone 2 and 3 especially are Iconic games from the ps3/Xbox 360 generation of games and it's a shame that they're almost impossible to play on modern hardware, personally I think all three games deserve a full on remake (since there is stuff they can fix/improve Upon) but seeing as Guerilla games really doesn't seem to care about this franchise anymore, a Pc/Ps5 port will be enough.

I bought inZOI on Steam, but I’d much rather own it through GOG. On Steam, I’m just licensing the game—I don’t truly own it. I can’t fully download and play it offline on my own terms, and that defeats the spirit of ownership. Back in the day, we could buy games on CD or DVD and just play. Sure, game sizes have grown since then, but that shouldn't be used as an excuse to strip away players' rights. Yes, games are IP—but when you buy something like a TV, a washing machine, or even a $10 hair dryer, you own it. The manufacturer or the retailer (like Steam) doesn’t retain control over your use. Why should games be any different? That’s why I’ll always support GOG—for standing by gamers and the principle that if you buy something, you should own it. DRM has no place here. Pirates will always exist, but punishing paying customers with restrictive DRM like Denuvo only makes things worse. It breaks more than it protects. So thank you, GOG. Keep doing what you’re doing. There’s a reason I own the same games here instead of anywhere else.

Hands down, one of the BEST first person horror shooters I have EVER played. For anyone into Clive Barkers material, this game was the closest thing to walking into one of his horrific, detailed worlds. Each map more twisted and hellish than the last, with all manner of grotesque enemies to face off against. Though it can take a little getting used to at first, one of the games best features )in my opinion) is the ability to switch back and forth between each of your team mates and manually take control of their bodies in real time, Each squad member has very different weapons, occult powers and playstyles (my personal favorites are the sniper and the blood witch) and gives you a lot of range how you want to approach a fight. I also appreciate that the game was clearly made for a mature audience, as it features the characters literally descending into a twisted hellscape, filled with body horror, mutilation, torture, etc. This game is one of my all time favourites on the Xbox 360, but I was never able to try out the PC version (which I heard is graphically superior) With its unique take on occult horror, first person action, and squad based tactics, I think this game really stands out amongst the pack, and deserves a spot in the GOG library

FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.

Silent HillSilent Hill is the first installment in the Silent Hill series of psychological survival horror video games. Unlike earlier survival horror games that focused on protagonists with combat training, the main character Harry Mason is an average man. The gameplay consists of combat, exploration, and puzzle-solving. The controller vibration is used to indicate Harry's heartbeat and will vibrate on low health. The player must regularly enter an inventory screen to check Harry's health, use items, and equip different weapons.

Crusader: No Regret™

All games on GOG are DRM-free, so you can download and back them up for future use. Additionally, we aim to include as many games as possible in the GOG Preservation Program, ensuring classic titles remain playable on modern systems.
