Freelancer
FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.

Eye of the Beholder
Eye of the Beholder
The Forgotten Realms world of Dungeons & Dragons has been home to many a hero and imagination since its publication, producing adventures and stories to be retold and enjoyed for years to come. The Forgotten Realms Archive - Collection One allows you to journey through one such set of adventures: the Eye of the Beholder trilogy, a set of first-person, real-time role-playing games. Eye of the BeholderA new evil is plaguing the city of Waterdeep, stalking the streets and preying on its citizens. Though initially thought to come from afar, this great evil, known only as Xanathar, instead resides within Waterdeep and, if not stopped, threatens to overwhelm the city. The Lords of Waterdeep believe that the evil lurks in the sewers below and have commissioned a party of adventurers to investigate and foil this nefarious plot. Granted full rights of marque and ownership of any treasure, artifacts or valuables you find on your quest, you must venture into the chasms, discover the nature of this evil and destroy it by any means necessary. Eye of the Beholder II: The Legend of DarkmoonFollowing your quest in the sewers beneath, you and your party are recovering with Waterdeep’s finest healers, when a letter arrives from Khelben Blackstaff, mystic advisor to the Lords of Waterdeep. Trouble is brewing in the Northern and Western regions, and he has tasked you with exploring the land and investigating these incidents. Although nothing has been confirmed, renowned but troublesome archaeologist, Wently Kelso believes the disturbances are related to an evil uprising and the presence of a powerful ancient artefact. These troubles could, of course, simply be the work of unruly bandits, but since Kelso’s previous findings in the sewers of Waterdeep proved true, one would be wise not to easily dismiss his opinion on the matter. Therefore, you should exercise greater care and vigilance as you begin your next adventure. Eye of the Beholder III: Assault on Myth DrannorHaving rid the sewers of Waterdeep and the dreaded Temple Darkmoon of the evil forces within, you and your companions are surely deserving of a strong drink, good food and a warm fire. And so, your first port of call is to the nearest tavern, where you slop ale all over yourself and engage in jovial antics as you regale your adventures to your captivated listeners and admirers. However, in the midst of your retelling, the tavern door is thrust open by a hooded figure, whose eyes scan the crowd before locking on you and your party. Approaching you, he quickly introduces himself and explains his reasons for disturbing the festivities; his master wishes you to free the ruined city of Myth Drannor from the clutches of a Lich and restore it to its former glory. Looks like your adventures aren’t over just yet…With an original story set in the Forgotten Realms universe, the Eye of the Beholder trilogy is based on the Advanced Dungeon & Dragons 2nd Edition’s game rules. Bringing the immersion, wonder and epicness of a D&D campaign to the PC, the Eye of the Beholder is a genre-defining and beloved series for RPG and Dungeons & Dragons fans alike.Assemble your party across various races and classes - from human to dwarf, cleric to thiefUse weapons, magic and resolve to ensure your survival as you complete your questsTransfer your party across all three titles to keep your band of adventurers together to the very endExplore the various dungeons, ruins and secrets that Waterdeep Sewers, Temple Darkmoon and Myth Drannor have to offerFight a wide array of monsters and restore peace to the Forgotten RealmsVotes: 6254

Escape from Monkey Island™
Escape from Monkey Island™
Spitting the sand of Monkey Island from my mouth, I wondered if the life of a mighty pirate was all it was cracked up to be. I'd ignored recent events that should have been warning shots across the bow of my soul, from my wife's brush with death to the anti-pirate ramblings of an Australian gazillionaire. If only I'd chosen a different path, LeChuck might still be dead and the Ultimate Insult might have remained a mystery. If I'd never picked up a sword, the grog-swilling pirates of the Tri-Island Area might be unthreatened by the forces of gentrification and demonic heckfire. If only... suddenly, the hairy finger of a familiar monkey tapped me on the shoulder. It was time. Time for the biggest battle of my swashbuckling life.- Excerpted from "The Memoirs of Guybrush Threepwood: The Monkey Island Years"Fourth in the legendary Monkey Island series of graphic adventures! An original, cinematic story full of drama, sociopathic parrots, and a villain with a sinister agenda!Dozens of lusciously rendered backgrounds!Hundreds of puzzles to challenge both novice and veteran pirates... er, adventurers!New jokes! New puns! New insults! And more monkeys than the three previous Monkey games combined!Votes: 7264

Black & White 2
Black & White 2In the game, the player takes the role of a god called from the void (nothingness) to help those who invoked them. However, the player is not an omnipotent style god, but rather a god who rises and falls with his believers and the player must help develop their nature according to their good or evil desires. The player also has a creature, their physical representation in the world, which takes the form of an anthropomorphic ape, lion, wolf, turtle, cow, or tiger. Its physical manifestation can grow to an immense size, and adopt a good or evil persona separate of the player's. They develop their character as the player rewards or punishes their actions. In addition to the god simulation and city-building elements introduced in the original Black & White, Black & White 2 also features elements of real-time strategy gameplay, with the addition of controllable warfare and fighting units.

Trespasser
Trespasser
user avatar@MetzManThis was a game that has a big place in my heart. It was a project with a very ambitious concept with a few technical innovations ahead of it's time in the year of Half-Life (1998). Sadly due to pressure from the publisher the development team didn't have enough time to flesh out all of it's ideas and had to rush development to meet a deadline, causing the game to be heavily underdeveloped. It was buggy and felt like it was missing a lot of pieces, making it play like a concept or alpha stage project. But with Anne's and Hammon's voice acting adding a lot of natural sounding "Jurassic Lore", good sound effects, music and visual assets there was a sense of Jurassic Park authenticity that lifted a broken game into a memorable experience. Gameplay wise there wasn't a lot too it, even though the control method and physical world interactions made surviving and navigating the world a clunky but also dynamic exprience. There was an impressive amount of guns, especially for a game where you wouldn't expect a large variety of firearms. Trespasser had all the basic weaponry and a whole lot of extra stuff you would find in random corners, from stun batons to very specific submachine guns. For me one of the most interesting features were the fully dynamic dinosaur skeletal animations, which were physics-based and therefor dinosaurs could trip, stumble and react to physical impact. Not without error as the state of the game was unfished but you could see the potential. A technical innovation that hasn't been replicated until we had "Euphoria". Another thing this game did really well was creating a authentic sense of place. Even though the terrain detail was lacking, the environments felt big and natural somehow and any human abandoned structure had a realistic look and design to them. Especially the bigger towns felt like people lived there, it was amazing to explore and find little easter eggs. And you did feel like you were on a dangerous journey.
Clive Barker's Jericho

user avatar@PsycoreoLove only love for oldies days In the distant year of 2007 I lived a beautiful stage of my life and playing this game again is reliving that time where my only responsibility was to study and play.
Heretic II
Heretic II
user avatar@SonicWind149I have a bit of a soft spot for Heretic II, even as someone who didn't play it until several years after its release (2017). It keeps drawing me back. Not entirely sure why. Maybe it's just because it's fun to play. But no matter what reason it is, this game didn't sell well, and I feel it deserves another chance. They may have changed the perspective from the previous Heretic/Hexen games, but it's still got the same core gameplay, just with some tweaks. For a while now, I've believed it's unfair that all the other games in the series have been re-released, but this one hasn't (nor has Hexen II's expansion, Portal of Praevus; that should also be re-released for the complete Heretic/Hexen collection). Let's hope GOG can change that and allow more people to experience this not-as-well-known classic.
Driver: San Francisco
Driver: San Francisco
user avatar@StimerAbsolute peak of the Driver series, truly amazing game, suffering from poor business decisions of Ubisoft. Currently it's impossible to buy, used copies are useluss due to annoying DRMs and even though I have an original copy of the game I can't use it, cause I lost access to my old Ubi account. So yeah, definitely it MUST be brought back!
The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay
The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay
user avatar@jpssaanOne of the best movie-games. Excellent balance of stealth and action. Simple straightforward old-fashioned fun gameplay without distractions. Game is available as abandonware I think but has severe compatibility issues. Just upgrade graphics and add controller support/glyphs. Don't change even one thing about the gameplay. As someone who has been gaming for more than 35 years, this one always bring pleasant memories of the time when video games were video games, not senseless bloated cash grabs.
Aliens Versus Predator 2: Gold Edition
Aliens Versus Predator 2: Gold Edition
user avatar@ZarynosIf you're going to bring back the original AvP2 you should bring back the GOLD edition. All the improvements and the added DLC with Primal Hunt! It's an excellent series!
Aliens versus Predator 2
Aliens versus Predator 2
user avatar@ZhibouA classic FPS from the early 00's. Such a hassle to install on a modern system. A re-release would made it acessible to a newer audience. The three campaigns are so well put together. The best game that reunite these two cinema icons.
Mass Effect Legendary Edition
Mass Effect Legendary Edition
user avatar@DotJJOne of the best video game sci-fi trilogies ever made. Some of the best characters ever written (IMO) with super solid gameplay. Bringing this to GOG to make sure everyone can play it for years to come would be amazing.
Freelancer
Freelancer
user avatar@BolteWasTakenI remember facing off against a clan of 20 or so players with just me and 3 others battling it out in space in big group fights, was so much fun. If the game comes to live here please offer the standard Vanilla experience as well as the more modern HD experience. Include the still existing modding community who still mod the game now even 20+ years later and have been around since the game released.
Ico
Ico
user avatar@istoph64Incredible atmosphere. Groundbreaking, not quite like anything else until its release. A critically important game for both video game history and its era. It defines the early PS2 days and had massive influence on the medium as a whole. This would be a fantastic title to see on PC, restored, and maintained. Today, it is basically stuck on PS2 and a PS3 HD re-release. ICO deserves to be remembered and cherished.
Scarface: The World Is Yours
Scarface: The World Is Yours
user avatar@dumbsvilleREALI love this game. I love, love, love, love this game. Buying an old PC port a few years ago and spending hours fixing it was worth it. Blasting "Push it to the Limit," blowing up enemy limbs with super interesting gunplay mechanics, selling yayo and laundering money, building an empire, exploring Tony's mansion...it's awesome!! The original movie is one of my favorites and this game is like a big old Scarface-themed roller coaster.
Resident Evil Code: Veronica X
Resident Evil Code: Veronica X
user avatar@Kingphil006This is for me the best classic Resident evil, I've played on PlayStation 2 and it's the only main line resident evil that I don't own now days because I only play on Pc now, would love to add CV to my collection and play again after so many years.

Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake
Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake
user avatar@SquidKamerWe already got Metal Gear 1 on GOG. Would be amazing to have this masterpiece alongside with it so it can complete the MSX collection. Would be a shame if this masterpiece is left out. This is truely where Metal Gear found its niche and identity. It all begins here.
Need for Speed: Underground 2
Need for Speed: Underground 2
user avatar@BeatlepacoI would love to be able to get every NFS game available... unfortunately, these probably won't happen. For once, EA is not necessarily the problem, but the car brands. Still, i'm gonna vote for all of them because, who knows? You might be able to get the rights to sell them.
I-Ninja
I-Ninja
user avatar@ZethGonkThis is one of my favorite games that's not on digital stores. It's also probably one of the first games I've ever played. I love the art and sound direction, it's a solid platformer with nice graphics and amazing environments. I really wonder why the game isn't well known :(
The Secret World
The Secret World
user avatar@ArofanMarrockUtterly unique atmosphere and world building. There really is nothing else like it and those of us who got to try the original game have searched for something similar ever since, but over a decade later the game remains unique. My friends and I would flock to pick up a remade version of the secret world, either in the original MMO format or as an offline adaptation. If for no other reason, just to inhabit that world again, and to experience the atmosphere and the story again
Digimon World
Digimon World
user avatar@dasleepyguyMy first encounter with this game was when I was 6 yrs old back in 2000. Had fun running around and beating up Betamons, running to find the bathroom and became frustrated with Meramon. The last time i played it was in 2017. Got as far as Airdramon but got stuck. When we get the chance, hopefully, I can play it once again at some point in the future
Solatorobo: Red the Hunter
Solatorobo: Red the Hunter
user avatar@CejilmeisterI knew nothing about this game. It was last June when my twin showed me a video talking about forgotten DS games, and this was in the lightening round. It caught my eye because it had dogs and cat, and it was in 3D. I then decided to check it out, and it changed me forever. I never played a game like this. Again, I had zero idea what this was. That helped this game really shine. I got to experience the gameplay, the visuals, the music, and the story with no idea what comes next, and that was special. While the game is filled with memorable character and some great one-offs, Red and Elh are the heart and soul of this game, and it paid off as they are the best part about this game. Watching them grow and affect those around them was special to watch. This may be a DS game, but there is no use of touch screen here. Just both screens and the buttons are used, and I wouldn’t want it any other way. The video I watched said that the people who play this game love it, and I agree with that one hundred percent. If you get the chance, I implore you to try it out. From the moment I started playing, I could see all the love and care put into this game, and to see it again would be amazing. It turned my into a hardcore Little Tail Bronx fan, and reignited my love for storytelling, music, and surprisingly voice acting. Thank you for reading this, and have a good day.
Sub Culture
Sub Culture
user avatar@derek42For me, this is one of the greatest games of the late nineties. It's got beautiful 3D underwater graphics and an inventive alternate-world atmosphere with these thumbelinae on the bottom of the ocean (well, likely more a tide pool), foraging for cigarette buds and bottle caps. The open world feels rather large for the time and the prospecting and trading reminds me of earlier titles like WC: Privateer. The controls feel suitably floaty and have this technicality to it, with your propellers being able to tilt up or down and all those gadgets you can buy and mount on your sub. The soundtrack really nails this ambiance-feel that games like DKC or SM64 have in their underwater stages. I'd be so stoked if this game came back in a readily playable state that doesn't require you to hack in some Voodoo-wrapper only to play with weird timing issues. In an alternate history where this game is a success, we could have gotten Sub Culture: Dangerous or something like it (and I still won't give up hope completely cough Nightdive cough), but I'd settle for a convenient way to play the first one. 5/5 starfish.
Nocturne
Nocturne
user avatar@sirerik82This one should get a remake. I remember buying the game in my Canadian Tire store to ship it to a friend in France because it was unavailable there. Best old game I played.
Skies of Arcadia Legends

Brave Fencer Musashi
Brave Fencer Musashi
user avatar@cgh2531987_3926From fighting the steam knight on PlayStation demo disc over and over to countless hours spent playing the full game. BFM was a core childhood memory for me and the quality time I shared with my brother while playing. This game is the standard for story and player progression that I still judge games by today. Let’s make sure this game is available for future generations to enjoy.

Each vote shows community interest and signals to IP owners that releasing their game on GOG is a valuable opportunity.
How can I learn about the status of the game on the Dreamlist?

Does high number of votes for a game mean that it will be released sooner?
A high number of votes shows strong interest, which influences both GOG and IP owners. However, we can’t guarantee that every highly-voted game will be released.
