Man this game was the first PC game I owned and as a kid I had a lot of fun with it and ist multiplayers map. I understand it can be a struggle to re-release this game but it deserves to be remembered and preserved.

Where to begin, one of my favourite games growing up, wonderful atmosphere and world, beautiful level design, I always really felt like I was on a long adventure. Today, it still plays great, the movement mechanics are really fun, years ahead of its time even. It's one of those pocket realms of the 90's that they put a lot of thought into designing, I have the physical lore book to prove it. These days even with the disc it's a nightmare getting it fired up without visual bugs and crashes, so it would really flourish with a bit of love. Fingers crossed.

I have fond memories of Heretic II, playing it as a kid with my brother. I love that it has a campaign co-op mode built right in, you don't need any mods or anything to just host and play through the entire thing, and it's an awesome experience. A little weird and lore-breaking to have two (or more!) Corvuses (Corvusi?) I guess, but well worth it. Please, GOG, revive this absolute gem!

I remember when the original Heretic game came out and I enjoyed the shareware version over at my friends' house. Later I purchased the full version over the telephone from Id Software's store. I really enjoyed the game, however, so did another one of my friends who kept my copy after a sleepover at his house. Fast forward a few years and Heretic 2 came out and I was excited having been a huge fan of Hexen 1 and 2. Somewhat to my dismay I found out that it was a third person perspective and not the first person view I had become accustomed too. I didn't like Tomb Raider particularly on the original PlayStation but after playing this game for awhile, became my favorite game in the series. I thought the voice acting was pretty good for its time and the controls were very responsive. I would love for GOG to bring this game over to their platform so I and many other could enjoy it once again. I did try to install the original Heretic 2 CD on my Windows 11 PC but to no avail. GOG is probably the only way I amd others can play this masterpiece again. Thank you!

This game is a piece of history as the father of jedi outcast and jedi academy, with gameplay that holds up perfectly today. It deserves to be preserved as it's basically abandonware and it would be a crime to lose access to this gem.

I have a bit of a soft spot for Heretic II, even as someone who didn't play it until several years after its release (2017). It keeps drawing me back. Not entirely sure why. Maybe it's just because it's fun to play. But no matter what reason it is, this game didn't sell well, and I feel it deserves another chance. They may have changed the perspective from the previous Heretic/Hexen games, but it's still got the same core gameplay, just with some tweaks. For a while now, I've believed it's unfair that all the other games in the series have been re-released, but this one hasn't (nor has Hexen II's expansion, Portal of Praevus; that should also be re-released for the complete Heretic/Hexen collection). Let's hope GOG can change that and allow more people to experience this not-as-well-known classic.

This game deserves better, it deserves to be preserved as a fun, unique and cohesive experience. You don't need to play either the original Heretic, nor any other Doom clones to enjoy this game. You can't get this game anywhere and many people are missing this awesome era of Raven Software.

My dad built me a PC when I was little maybe 5 or 6 and he put this game on it. This ended up becoming one of my favorite games of all time. Great gameplay and story, a beautiful world with unique characters with their own lore, I just absolutely loved it, even with how young I was. I haven't played this game since I was 10 probably and now I'm turning 24 in just a few months and I still quote things from this game and tell others just how bad I wish I could play it again.

I had the release PC CD-Rom of the game, spent hours playing, having fun with spells and good puzzles, and the memorable phrases, "I'll have to open this elsewhere".

One of the first pc games I've ever played in my youth! I loved the dark and scary atmosphere but it sadly was a bit hard for me then haha. I really hope I can get the chance to finish this more than 10 years later!

Black & White 2
Black & White 2In the game, the player takes the role of a god called from the void (nothingness) to help those who invoked them. However, the player is not an omnipotent style god, but rather a god who rises and falls with his believers and the player must help develop their nature according to their good or evil desires. The player also has a creature, their physical representation in the world, which takes the form of an anthropomorphic ape, lion, wolf, turtle, cow, or tiger. Its physical manifestation can grow to an immense size, and adopt a good or evil persona separate of the player's. They develop their character as the player rewards or punishes their actions. In addition to the god simulation and city-building elements introduced in the original Black & White, Black & White 2 also features elements of real-time strategy gameplay, with the addition of controllable warfare and fighting units.

Freelancer
FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.

Discworld
DiscworldDiscworld is a game released for PC (subsequently Mac, and Playstation) by Teeny Weeny / Perfect 10 studios in 1995. The game was released both on floppy disk and CD-Rom. The latter featured a commentary team created of many veterans of famous Brit-Coms. This included Monty Python's Eric Idle, Radio 4's (later to be more famous) Rob Brydon, ex- Doctor Who John Pertwee, 70s pop singer Kate Robbins, and Blackadder star Tony Robinson. The game is a riff on the Discworld title 'Guards, Guards', however many elements of the text have been shifted, not least the inclusion of Rincewind as protagonist. The game featured puzzles which were considered far too difficult and obtuse for gamers of the time, but the game itself has had a lasting legacy, now being accepted into such emulators as SCUMMVM.
