Freelancer
FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.

Black & White 2
Black & White 2In the game, the player takes the role of a god called from the void (nothingness) to help those who invoked them. However, the player is not an omnipotent style god, but rather a god who rises and falls with his believers and the player must help develop their nature according to their good or evil desires. The player also has a creature, their physical representation in the world, which takes the form of an anthropomorphic ape, lion, wolf, turtle, cow, or tiger. Its physical manifestation can grow to an immense size, and adopt a good or evil persona separate of the player's. They develop their character as the player rewards or punishes their actions. In addition to the god simulation and city-building elements introduced in the original Black & White, Black & White 2 also features elements of real-time strategy gameplay, with the addition of controllable warfare and fighting units.

Vagrant Story
Vagrant Story
user avatar@SirkrozzA technological marvel of the time and a game like no other, from character design to soundtrack, from artistic direction to gameplay, Vagrant Story pushed every limit of the Playstation era to create a fascinating, atmospheric and challenging adventure on every level. Vagrant Story was Dark Souls before Dark Souls even existed, a game with its own achievement system a decade before they became a thing, the interactive missing link between cinematography and comic book narrative, one of the only games that fully trusted the player's imagination and intelligence like no other title ever since. Vagrant Story did on a single CD what no modern game will ever be able to do. I am proud to be part of the elite few in the world that has finished this title.

user avatar@thiagottFreelancer is an open-world title that allows you to pilot a spaceship and be hired for all kinds of missions. It has a single-player mode and a multi-player mode that feel much funnier every time you play. I would keep playing this for a long time if I still had the CD...
Fatal Frame
Fatal Frame
user avatar@istoph64It is genuinely tragic that the PS2-era Fatal Frame games have not been re-released/re-mastered. These games are extremely worthy of preservation. They shouldn't be forgotten. The first Fatal Frame sticks with me personally as one of the first horror games to get me interested in the genre. Please bring it to PC and preserve it!
Breath of Fire IV
Breath of Fire IV
user avatar@aeonlord92Breath of Fire IV is one of my favourite PS1 JRPGs of all time, if not favourite games of all time in general. The story is great, characters and music fun, great but simple turn-based gameplay which does have many layers and aspects to it if you go looking for it. The sprite work and art design was GORGEOUS in the time in came out and still holds up to this day. It just has a great and unique look and charm to its characters, monsters, and more. Fou-Lu is a great villain and the gameplay adage of actually being able to play and control him to see things from his POV was a perfect addition. The game did get a PC port for us here in the EU, so there is a basis for GOG to look at and fix. I wish Capcom would show the series some some love and would release the games -especially BoF3, BoF4 and BoF:DQ - on modern systems. It is a niche series sure, but a great one with a storied history that I wish more people would experience. GOG working with Capcom to release a re-done version of the PC Port of Breath of Fire IV would be a great start.

No One Lives Forever 2: A Spy in H.A.R.M.'s Way
No One Lives Forever 2: A Spy in H.A.R.M.'s Way
user avatar@neumi5694First thing that comes to mind when thinking of this game are not the toys, the more elaborate levels, the car chase with clowns and grenades. No ... it's the crashes. When it was releeased, this game was as unstable as they come. Luckily it got patched quickly and was soon playable. Compared to the first game, everything was a bit more over the top in this game. More weapons, more toys, stranger enemies, a parachute level. But it didn't have the same appeal of the first one. Still, it was a great game, but the urge to come back to it once finished, was not as strong.

Sid Meier's Civilization II
Sid Meier's Civilization II
user avatar@KastorMenerCivilization 2 was probably the very first game I ever saw. I remember watching my Dad play it so many years ago and it was the game that sparked me gaming. This game, along withthe Scenarios and Fantastic Worlds expansion are lodged deep in my brain and something that I love going back to. I love the old units, and the scenarios were also a bunch and a half of fun added on when you got sick of the base game. I still have the Fantastic Worlds disc at home, along with the original Civ II disc (Sadly, I cannot find the Scenarios disc any more) but for me, this game is where it all began for me. The ability to produce units, make war when necessary, build a spaceship... then there's the Videos for the high council (Oh boy, when you descended into Anarchy, that terrified me as a kid!) and the ability to see a special scene to see the view of the city... memories I would love to bring back again. Then there was the 2 win conditions of space win (they made it so you landed a rocket on a distant planet) or the win via global conquest (This also terrified me as a kid), those have stuck in my brain and still do to this day! I would totally get it again and play it again, especially if all the expansions are added to it, and even more so if released on GOG!
Rule of Rose
Rule of Rose
user avatar@DollyDepartedThis game absolutely deserves another life after its (wholly undeserved) controversies and banning. Its story is one of the most gut-wrenching, touching, and well-written things ever put in a horror game. While definitely held back by its clunky gameplay, said story--alongside its beautiful soundtrack, fantastic performances, and unique art direction--more than make up for it. Trust me, this is a game worth preserving.
Halo: Combat Evolved
Halo: Combat Evolved
user avatar@Ogg562It belongs in a museum, 343 fumbled the MCC launch and it took years to get it playable. We need to preserve this, I don't trust Xbox. Halo 1 and 2 invented online multiplayer as we know it. Without these games nothing would be the same.
Myth: The Fallen Lords
Myth: The Fallen Lords
user avatar@broin229This was the game that made me fall in love with RTS games. I would spend hours trying to get perfect scores on missions. It would be amazing to see this game playable on modern PCs without several mods.
The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth
The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth
user avatar@AzrapseGreat production values and great licensing of the Lord of the Rings movies. It had more depth than it appears. There were four asymmetric factions here: Mordor, Isengard, Gondor, and Rohan. The core idea of the game is that your initial base only has limited room for structures, so you must make an initial choice of strategy that you are going to attempt, and then you need to come out and expand by conquering other base locations in the map before your opponents do. Every faction has several possible strategies, chosen by the kind of resource buildings you decide to create and the production facilities you raise. This game discourages sending lots of units to their death, since killing units grants the player unlockable and thematic powers and effects during battle that go from summoning allies, making the sun raise and stunning your opponents, calling the Eagles, or bringing up the Balrog. Each faction had also unique heroes from the movies that you had to level up in battle to unlock more powerful abilities. These heroes could change the course of the game. Among them there all the fellowship members, Saruman, Gollum, or the winged nazgûl. The two single player campaigns (good and evil) were great, with a full map of Middle Earth were you can capture regions to get stronger, or go straight for the story. Then, there were lots of multiplayer or solo skirmish maps, and it came with a map editor to make your own. I spent lots of time making maps, and was part of the awesome modding community that flourished for this game. The sequel, added a multiplayer conquest mode, which was great. But screwed other stuff, like amalgamating Rohan and Gondor in a single faction, replacing the strategic base building system with a "free-build anywhere" one that, while it sounds better, it robs of much of the interesting decisions from the original. Also added Goblins, Dwarves, and Elves as factions, which is always good, but suffered a bit of generic fantasy design.

The Hobbit
The Hobbit
user avatar@Ozzy69420Such an underrated gem that deserves preservation! I still remember buying it for the PS2 at some market when I was 8. The aesthetic and atmosphere of this game is incredible, especially the soundtrack my god, the Shire theme still lives rent free in my head after all these years.
God of War Ragnarök
God of War Ragnarök
user avatar@PiinkishWith the recent announcement that Sony is backing away from the PSN requirement for this game on Steam, I don't see any reason why it shouldn't be for sale on GOG as well. I personally LOVED God of War 2018, and my main way of playing through it was through GOG on an offline installation. The idea of having my game locked behind a PSN account requirement concerns me, so I haven't been willing to buy the sequel on Steam.

Guilty Gear Xrd: Rev 2
user avatar@FreetoThinkFreeThe more Guilty Gear Xrd, the better the world would be. I've always loved the Guilty Gear series and I still believe to this day that Xrd series was the best addition to the GG franchise. I think everyone should definitely get a chance to experience this masterpiece, so I'm proud add my vote to this cause and I'm ultimately wishing that maybe... Just maybe... This event will transpire and we can get more than a Rev 2--BUT A REV 3!!!

Radical Heights
Radical Heights
user avatar@kushinskiIn the darkest moments of my life, when hope felt like a distant memory and loneliness crept in like an unshakable shadow, I found salvation in the unlikeliest of places—a short-lived battle royale game called Radical Heights. Back in 2018, when the world felt like it was moving forward without me, I stumbled upon Radical Heights. It wasn’t just another game; it was an escape, a neon-soaked world of BMX bikes, over-the-top 80s aesthetics, and a chaotic, game-show-inspired battle for survival. It was different, and at a time when everything in my life felt monotonous and uninspired, different was exactly what I needed. The moment I dropped into my first match, something clicked. The quirky announcer, the rush of looting buildings filled with cash, the thrill of last-minute shootouts—it all felt alive. And for the first time in a long while, so did I. The game wasn’t perfect, but that was part of its charm. It was scrappy, rough around the edges, but bursting with personality—just like me, I suppose. And then, just as quickly as it arrived, it was gone. The servers shut down. The game, abandoned in the wake of its developer’s struggles, faded into memory. But what it gave me—the friendships, the joy, the proof that even in the bleakest moments, a spark of happiness could be found—that never left me. That’s why Radical Heights deserves another chance. Not just because it was a unique battle royale, but because it was more than a game. Bring back those Radical Heights
Koudelka
Koudelka
user avatar@AlhallorI buy'd this for like 30€ for my PS 2. It's a very charming game from a forgotten developer. The systems are clunky but were really cool to play around with. The secrets are still blowing my mind (save the game at 01:11:11 and if you reload you get an exclusive item! Sounds like a total playground rumor but it actually works here!) The voice acting is surprisingly good and I had a lot of fun with it. I hope others have the chance to relive this.
Digimon World
Digimon World
user avatar@LoyotaFavorite digimon game. Remember as a kid running around, not knowing what I am doing. So many fun areas to explore, especially the curling in the ice world. There isn't a game out there that really scratches the same way as this when it comes to raising a partner up while having the unique aesthetics of the world. I think all digimon fans should give it a try because of this and is one of my biggest recommendations for those who like digimon.
Frequently Asked Questions
Learn more about GOG Dream list with our FAQ

How does voting work?
Find a game on the list and click the arrow button to cast your vote. You can do so directly from the main page or a game's card. Every vote helps shape our platform and supports game preservation, so make it count!
How do I add a game to the Dreamlist?
If you cannot find a game already on the list please use this form to add it to the list for everyone to vote.
Can I vote for more than one game?
Yes, you can vote for multiple games, but only once per game.
Why should I vote?
Each vote shows community interest and signals to IP owners that releasing their game on GOG is a valuable opportunity.
How can I learn about the status of the game on the Dreamlist?
Currently, we can’t disclose the business status of a game before its release due to the complexity of the process and the potential negative impact this could have on our efforts. However, we’re working on a feature that will let you track the games you’ve voted for once they’re released.
Does high number of votes for a game mean that it will be released sooner?
A high number of votes shows strong interest, which influences both GOG and IP owners. However, we can’t guarantee that every highly-voted game will be released.
How does my vote help to preserve games?
All games on GOG are DRM-free, so you can download and back them up for future use. Additionally, we aim to include as many games as possible in the GOG Preservation Program, ensuring classic titles remain playable on modern systems.
What happens with Stories once the game is released on GOG?
We’re working on a solution to migrate Stories to GOG.COM game cards once the game is released: we won’t let them get lost.
