I've finally made a new place (well, it's not finished and probably never will) for my NPCs and sorted out all the junk in chests. But unlike you guys, I have problem with filling empty space with stuff... ;)

Anyways, through experiments I've learned that NPCs won't jump from 4+ blocks heights and that I don't need big biomes to for Truffle and Witch Doctor. So I used it in my build. I've also learned that digging giant hole requires lots of items increasing melee attack speed. The bad news is I choose blocks rather poorly so I don't like colours, I still have to teleport everywhere (lucky owner of Rod of Discord) and I have lots of empty spaces.

InkPanther: I have lots of empty spaces.
Empty spaces means places to put statues, mannequins, trophies, display racks, banners and so on.

That is really cool!
For filling up space, may I suggest aquariums and terrariums? Collecting animals is fun. Banners would look good going across the glass bridge. Unless you don't like a lot of clutter.
I don't know guys... I was thinking about something a bit bigger. I'll probably use them as details here and there, but rather sparsely. Maybe I'll use trees. In the meantime I tried my luck at sculpting. *cough*

the light source is a nice touch.
made some progress and needed more space, so I demolished my old tower and built this one.

Amazing.... :)

A stupid question though: how did you get the npc's on the upper floors? Normally, they can't jump that high so maybe I suppose, you helped them getting up with some "intermediate" platforms and then destroyed those platforms so they (or rather their AI) won't get down. Am I right or did you do another trick?

NPCs that are out of your screen will teleport to their designated home at night.

OK, good to know. I'll take that info at my advantage ;)

Note that you have to be out of range of both the NPC and the home for it to happen.
had a bit of free time, decided to build a new home for the mechanic. maybe i'll build something fitting for the steampunker, too.

I like the screenshots being posted here! Lots of creativity in action. One of the best things about this game ;)
Here is my compact tree house with almost everything you need. :-)

Every time someone posts a pic here I want to copy it. Is it normal to think that everyone's stuff is a lot cooler and more creative than one's own?

That giant globe I mentioned, here it is, in case anyone was curious.
It's unfinished because I'm lazy and don't know what to do with all the space as the NPCs have separate houses (except for Mr Guide).

Holy sh*t... Did you do everything "in-game" or did you use Tedit?
