ZombieKohhi: Was going to download the SS2Tool but I clicked on the link and the post was last edited today saying there are some compatibility problems with the GOG version. What to do?

"Instructions for users
Install the game. Download the attached SS2Tool program and doubleclick it. When asked, point it to your "System Shock 2" folder.
There are still remaining compatibility problems with the GOG game version which will be addressed. Download taken down until then."

ConcreteShelter: I'm having no problems whatsoever, like anyone who followed the guide in the main post.
To any 1 curious venture to my gallery here

You can see I most of the mods active and running at max quality then. Hope all enjoy.

Try again, should be up now. I just used it and it patched everything up without a problem.

To the OP, a big, heartfelt thanks!!

voodoo47: some minor issues with ss2tool compatibility have been discovered (some files not being moved properly, potentially causing issues with certain mod combinations), and 4.9 has been taken offline. 5.0 will be available later today, double checked for GOG release compatibility.
I guess I will until 5.0 is available for download before doing any modding.

To any1 here curious the gallery of pics I linked to are of me using v4.8 of SS2Tools perfectly fine. If you can find that jest use it. It works great. I do plan to obviously update tho when new version is released.
Hmmm, I spent some time today doing the perfect installation, with 4.9 and all the listed mods, barely got through tutorial, and now I read that 4.9 is not perfect and to wait for 5.0..oh well. Hopefully it will be perfected then.

the_voivod: The Rapidshare link doesn't work at time of writing. Shame, as that would be the fastest download.

Edit: It's because the folder has been set to private by default.
Fixed, apologies for that, I was in a hurry when uploading the mod package. Please let me know if that is now resolved :)

Edit: Wow, 427 downloads on RG and UL combined, glad I could help! Wouldn't mind a bit of rep for that :)

the main issue is a leftover shock2.gam directly in the SS2 folder, you need to remove it for ADAOB to work properly (it's already mentioned in the first post). the rest is very minor (the controls need a bit of fixing, some duplicate files need to be removed for the sake of keeping things nice and tidy etc).

Thanks for the info. I will wait for the release of 5.0, hopefully it will be tonight or tomorrow. Maybe it will include the new binds I saw discussed on ss.org.
Was noticing that my pistol's graphics weren't correctly updated by Tacticool, only to find that it mattered that I install the Tacticool mod AFTER the ADaOB mod.

Are there any other sequential considerations like this that anyone knows of?

Thanks! Appreciated; so much easier to download as a package.

ah yes, that is indeed correct (note made in the FAQ), and is should also be the only case where the correct sequence matters.
ok, ss2tool 5.0 is up.

EVERYBODY SHOULD REPATCH.

Neat, it didn't affect installed mods, I just had to re-tweak the cfg.
