Is that (No changes to multiplayer.) line suspicious to anyone else? In the first NewDark patch was it specifically mentioned that there were no changes to multiplayer in the readme? It almost seems to hint at potential future changes, but I guess it depends on how you look at it.

Or perhaps it's there for people to not expect any changes to multiplayer, you know :-P

voodoo47: I assume ss2tool will be updated pretty soon - I would advise everyone to just wait for the tool, but if you really need the fixes, it should be safe enough to use just the executable on your GOG version.
Will you notify about ss2tool being updated here?

Don't go destroying my day dreams with your logic!
That's great! The new version of NewDark fixes the ammo change HUD bug :)

Tool's updated yet?
not yet. don't worry, the first post will be updated as soon as it becomes available.
Awesome
Installing the game with no mods or anything added, it works fine.
Once I run SStool v5.0, the game won't work. I simply get a "System Shock 2 has stopped working" window.

Reinstalled the game, same thing happened. Should I use an older SStool?
definitely not, as only 5.0 fully supports the GOG release. remember, the tool needs access to the internet to update everything properly. did the patching process complete successfully? try looking for ss2tool log and post the info, that could shed some light on the issue.

I started a thread here: http : //www . systemshock . org/index.php?topic=4669.0 (spaces due to it not letting me post a URL)

Maybe better to continue this there, so I don't clutter up this thread. I will post my ss2tool.log contents there.
ok, GOG has updated their build, making it yet again incompatible with ss2tool. version 5.1 will re-add support for the GOG version when it becomes available.

Balls
There are some things that I loose sleep from. Do we need to drop the mods in PermMods folder? Can't we just drop them in the root folder of SShock 2? The reason I ask is because some of the mods folders are named the same as the original folders placed in the root.
