Maybe you can help me. How does Desura work? Is it more like Steam or more like GOG? Do I need a client to download games and/or do I need one to run the games?
I have found Desura's client to be pretty darned non-intuitive, but otherwise it's a good service.

To activate a product key:

Open the Desura client
Click on the Desura logo in the upper left-hand corner
Select Tools
Click "Activate game CD key or gift"
