Marioface5: Well, it's looking like I was wrong. For the second time this month, we have an early weekend promo and nothing to show for it. I'm sorry to anyone whose hopes I got up. Maybe I just misunderstood what Judas meant in that other thread.
Perhaps Eradicator was the "trickle" and the "flood" is getting all the missing Retroism games. That'll certainly be nice, but, imo, not on the level of finally getting more Bethesda, WB, EA, Squeenix, etc. games. :)

summitus: Ffs GOG if I'm going to buy a game I will, but shoving talentless youtubers down my throat every time you want to have promotion is going to have the opposite effect ... I don't care if its Total fuckwit , Jesse Cockbrain or any other useless youtube fucker ... stop it , just fucking stop it.

This site is slowly going down the fucking pan ......

Fairfox: I've no idea who these people are, but if I get sales out of it they could be Krampus or the Butt Monster for all I care. Your anger is disproportionate to sanity :/
Well, guess he's just butthurt because "he" doesn't get to pick a promo instead...

On the other hand, who wouldn't love to pick a promo (even if it's just for getting the stuff one would want to buy anyways) ;)

Invasion of the Sheeple ( yet again ) ... ;)

animalmother2105: Did not he mention in some thread, that they are merely testing several setups of the weekend promo to see what works well?
avatar
Marioface5: That would explain the weird promo times then. I just figured it had to do with the "trickle" (compared to the upcoming "flood" of games) that Judas mentioned here. Either the trickle was delayed, or I misunderstood and it had nothing to do with any major releases.
I think the weekend promos had nothing to do with it. But I am hyped for the "flood of games" too. :) The last 2 months were pretty dull from my point of view (some wishilst addistions, but no instabuys).
$450 for this bundle? (59% off) Eeek. Are there 90 games in there?

I'm pretty sure summitus posts these for every e-personality promo because... He doesn't want GOG to receive pretty much free advertising I guess? Looking at Jesse Cox's Youtube main page, that's over 800.000 people who might have potentially not heard of GOG before. Any business would be fairly idiotic to pass up on such an offer.

Fonzer: So witcher 1 and 2 worth to play?
Can't play 3 though,but i never played witcher before.
I´d say yes, give them a shot, you´ll get so much out of these games, I mean you can spend hundred hours on them and still only be halfway through the story.
The story as well as the characters are very good. :)

Not the best RPG´s in my oppinion, but definitely among the better ones I´ve played.

Agreed. I don't like PewDiPi(?), but it'd be a boon if someone like him would do a promo. Plus, I don't get why e-personality is such a negative. Ok, they're famous on YouTube or Twitch or something. If you don't care, then good for youl. But at the same time, people are paying attention to video channels like YouTube more than TV...so brace yourself, because it will only get worse.

While I guess it'd be cool if Bryan Cranston picked games, I also don't see that happening if for any other reason that it'd seem odd. Whereas, someone who does Let's Plays or reviews or something mostly for a living, it makes sense. To me at least.

timppu: Age of Wonders 3: so if I want the cheapest pack with all the gaming content (no interest in soundtracks, making-of videos etc.), what are the versions to get?
No packs. You need to buy the base game, the Eternal Lords expansion and the Golden Realms mini-expansion, all separately. (all are discounted, though the base game gets the biggest discount. 27 euros total for me.)

You can safely ignore the Deluxe Edition, which just adds a soundtrack and a single scenario. This game isn't about scenarios, it's about the random map generator, which is brilliant.

You could also decide to skip Golden Realms. It adds quite a bit of content, but nothing essential. The big things are the Halfling Race, the Naga mini-race and a new take-and-hold victory condition, as well as More Stuff. (Units, items, spells, skills, locations, empire quests.) I think it's worth it, but up to you.

You definitely want the Eternal Lords expansion. It's great.

I'm not sure why there isn't a bundle on GoG. Steam has one. But what can you do.

avatar
Fenixp: Is Age of Wonders 3 even out of active development? Won't they be adding more expansions over time?
Yes, it is. The devs announced this in Januari. No more DLCs or expansions. There may be another balance or tweak patch down the road, but the game is in a good place right now. There are also some fun mods coming out, but you mostly need to nab them from the Steam Workshop, annoyingly enough.

Wouldn't you buy something if Heisenberg told you to think very carefully before passing on GOG's promo? =P

PincushionMan: $450 for this bundle? (59% off) Eeek. Are there 90 games in there?
For one thing, it's not a bundle; that is, you don't have to buy more -- let alone ALL -- to get the discount (or a to get a better one), and I don't think there are too many people who would buy all this stuff at once, anyway (though I'm sure GOG hopes there are at least a few...).

More importantly, though, there are a some different editions of the same games in the promo, with or without upgrade DLC, as well as other DLC that aren't included in a "deluxe" version here. If someone in the U.S. (can't speak for other regions due to regional pricing) wanted to buy everything in the promo, including deluxe versions and DLC (but without duplicate content), and do so at the cheapest price, then there would be 51 items to purchase (45 games + 1 "upgrade to deluxe" DLC (because it's $0.01 cheaper in that case than just buying the deluxe version outright) + 5 other DLC), and the discounted price (at 58% off) would come to $356.44. If you only want the most basic versions of the games on sale, and don't care about any DLC, those 45 items would "only" cost you $293.55 (at 60% off).

I am the one who wants you to buy, Not A Hero!
So is Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion gonna get this patch or am I gonna be waiting for another sale?

Glad I picked up that Shadow Warrior '13, I'm having a blast with that karma bonus system, it reminds me of the chained combo system from Batman: Arkham Asylum! :)
