Geneforge, definitely. I know that's not "of the 3" but it should be the #1 of the 4 (though my depths into them is limited, Geneforge hit me the best right out of the gates.)

Thanks for the feedback! I had to do some number-crunching, some meditation, and ignore the massive backlog of games, but I ended up with Geneforge Saga, Avadon 1 & 2, the Eschalons, and just the Avernum complete saga. (I found Avernum Escape from the Pit cheaper elsewhere--Sorry Gog, please don't be mad.)
