Thank you for the chance ChaunceyK! :)
Sadly I'm a fool who has never played any of these.

Would you guys recommend the original Avernum's (Complete Saga?) or should I jump straight into the remakes?
The remake seems like a big improvement so meanwhile I'll enter for:

AVERNUM: ESCAPE FROM THE PIT
In for Avernum: The Compete Saga !

Thank you & +1! :D

and,I haven't played any of them :p

Tough to decide which game to enter for

Im in for Avernum: The Compete Saga

Haven't played any of these games, but its a style of game i really enjoy and have played many similar games in the past.

Thanks for the giveaway

I'm in!

I haven't really started playing isometric rpgs yet, but have seriously been thinking about doing so thanks to this cool sale.

I would be interested in any of the following which then I'd collect the rest of a series.

Anything from:
Avadon series
Avernum series
Eschalon series
or Geneforge Saga

So, for example, if I win Avadon 2, I'd most likely buy the rest of the Avadon series, etc.

Thank you for this awesome giveaway, ChaunceyK!
Not in and not familiar with any of those games.

+1 for the giveaway and definitely for the number of giveaways you are doing. Too bad you can do more upvotes for this.
Not in, just passing by to pat you on your back. +1

DazBoots: I have bought them all except Crystal Souls, a good days shopping I think. :)
(Not in)

I highly recommend you get Crystal Souls. It is actually a good revamp of the old version and does not just a faithful retelling but kind of a better job organizing as well. I thoroughly enjoyed it as a day one release and highly recommend it.

Oh I will, I love the series, but I sort of ran out of money for this month. :)

HotfireLegend: I'm in.

I've played Avernum: The Complete Saga ...As such, I'm in for Avernum: Escape from the Pit. I'm also happy with the Geneforge Saga, though would prefer the former.

bler144: I'd have to double-check, but I think if you've already played the two trilogies you probably won't get much out of "Escape from the pit" which is a re-write of part of the first trilogy, just with upgraded tech and UI.

(That said, I played the trilogies (and Exile) long ago, and Escape from the pit recently, so someone please correct me if I'm wrong)
Yeah, I enjoyed how Escape worked compared to the actual UI/controls/etc of the first trilogy, besides 3.
This thread reminded me to pick up the first Avernum remake, thanks.

I remember what a happy surprise it was when downloaded the first Avernum years ago. The world is well-described and a pleasure to travel. The attention to detail makes for a credible underground land. Exploration is very often rewarded with satisfaction.

The Geneforge games are excellent, too.

Nethergate should be here, too, as it is comparably excellent.

The Avadons are similarly well-made, but for some reason, swapping out party members doesn't appeal to me.
I am in for Avadon: The Black Fortress

Unfortunately I have not played any of these games yet, I just watched few let's plays from Avadon and Avernum, and I liked what I have seen.

+1 and thank you :)

Count me in.

i'm in for Avernum: Escape From The Pit

I played some Avadon 1 and from what I played it was really good. Excellent writing.
The giveaway is not over yet, but I want to thank everyone who has entered so far (as well as those who are just patting me on the back with a +1). I enjoy reading about your experiences with these type of games!
I am in. I have not played anything in your list, but I think Avadon: The Black Fortress will be a good game to try.
