I just can't help myself. I was so excited when I saw that a bunch of isometric, turn-based RPGs were on sale this weekend (to quote Buddy The Elf: "It's my favorite!"). Imagine my surprise when I realized I already have all of them! (Well, okay, I still don't have Avernum: Crystal Souls yet, but I've got enough of a backlog that I can wait to buy that one.) So since I already have them, I've decided to gift some of them!

I'm in for Avernum: The Complete Saga. Thanks for the giveaway! :)

I have not played any of the games on your list. I've played lots of other turn-based RPGs though, such as Fallout, Wasteland 2, Shadowrun, Temple of Elemental Evil and non-RPGs such as XCOM and Jagged Alliance. I'd say isometric turn-based is my favorite genre in PC-gaming. What I like about turn-based games, is that the gameplay is often highly tactical and challenging, yet you get time to think and consider your actions thoroughly. I always crank the difficulty up to the highest possible of course :)
I have bought them all except Crystal Souls, a good days shopping I think. :)
in for the geneforge saga, +1 and thanks. :)

I haven't played any of these, they do look interesting though.

Nice, thanks! Not in, I've already got all of these - but it's my favorite too. Now if only I had time to play them all, but that's another story...
I'd be in for Eschalon II. That and Geneforge have been on my Steam watchlist a long time, though I didn't really realize gog had them until this sale.

I actually discovered the Spiderweb games 20 years ago when I was perpetually broke and played through all the demos (downloaded via Mosaic, IIRC), and think I bought one of the games - wasn't it mail order or something?

I have most of the Avernum games, plus Avadon:BF. I think I'm in the minority in that I like Avadon better. In any case, while the games have a lot of similarities, the actual features/UI/story change enough from each that, while you know it's a Spiderweb game, they're all varied enough to still feel fresh (if you like the style at all, that is). "Escape from the pit" IIRC is a remake of some of his earlier content with a more polished interface and isometric view. I love the interface, but the lack of camera control and some of the combat features I think actually made the isometric angles problematic at times.

But the great thing with Spiderweb games on the whole is the sense of exploration, the large maps, and the relative complexity of RPG build options keep you engaged in developing your character. If you're using a tank character in your build, when do you pick up the talents that increase aggro? Wait too long and your party gets gobsmacked. Do it too soon and the tank can't take the beating. And while it's not high strategy, you do actually have to develop and apply strategies for different conditions both in the fight and party development.

FWIW, you don't really need to pick me, since as a longtime fan I'll likely end up buying one or both anyway the next time they come around on sale. But I figured there was no harm in throwing a hat in. My wallet currently is still recovering from the Insomnia sale, as tempting as the current sale is...

not in, +1
Not in, but thanks for another giveaway ChaunceyK! +1
Not in, but +1 for your generosity! :-)
Not in, as I've had my share of giveaway luck this week. And I still have enough to play. But +1 fot your generosity!
Not in and +1.

I have everything except "Avernum Escape from the pit".

I haven't played any yet but I just finished reading the manual for Geneforge and wanted to check its forum before playing it so I came to GOG and noticed your GA.
Not in, but +1 for the awesome (again) giveaway ChaunceyK! :)
I'll be in for Avernum: Escape From the Pit.

I played the first Geneforge game years ago, but that's the extent of my experience with Spiderweb games. I picked up the Geneforge Saga and Avernum set during the (fall? winter? they blend together...) sale last year but haven't had the time yet to sink into them. (Well, not the combination of time and willpower, anyway. Life stinks sometimes. :P )

+1 for the generous giveaway!
Not in, but +1 for a great giveaway.
I'm in for Geneforge Saga. Thanks for the giveaway +1 :).

Although i bought Avernum: Escape form the Pit in the recent promo, i haven't played any of these games yet.

Edit: Forgot something in my post :).
