I don't like the outline of the whole Rapp thing. It was NOT a victory. If she was fired because of what Nintendo said, then it was not a victory, and if it was because of the Wayne foundation (Which makes me think of Batman) then it was because GG lowered to the AGG levels and made sure she was punished for wrongthink.
Now, don't get me wrong, I am against child pornography. I am not against underage sexuality, but the monetization of it is totally wrong, and sexuality in prepubescent minors should be something between children, not something recorded on camera, packed, and sold to some shady guy on the deep web. But still making sure she got fired and using something very stupid she said to do so is something SJWs do.
Of course it could be that Nintendo noticed the tweets attacking gamers and advocating censorship as well as other stuff she published as their PR and they decided to cut her because she was doing a shitty job. But getting the Wayne foundation involved was using the same methods SJWs use.
Edit: And for what? There is still censorship, feminazis and SJWs are not gone for good, the actual localization team got away with butchering FE and other games, things stayed the same except that an idiot got fired. Nobody won, and I get the feeling everyone lost.
walpurgis8199: I understand that she was in PR, which means she could have been fired for any number of reasons. I have heard talk of her being a cam girl, that her college thesis was pro pedo, that she made pro pedo comments on twitter and that she also made other politically charged comments on twitter. All of this while marketing herself as Nintendo PR.
Probably her biggest mistake was thinking she could voice an opinion that was not Nintendo approved. When you are in PR you parrot the company lines and make other safe comments. Things like "I like kittens" and "look at the beautiful sunset out my window." That is what the job is.
Darvond: Unless you're a dog breeder or an astronomer. I did see a picture of her posting in a bed in lingerie with a Nintendo product. But if I were Nintendo, and not an obstinately conservative company that doesn't realize that kids don't have two quarters to rub between their fingers, I'd realize that this picture could do the company image a lot of good. An adult, willing to be seen with one of their own products, in a photoshoot.
Of course this company is also tone deaf, seeing as they have a game where the objective is to make clothing explode off of anime girls and a waifu dating simulator disguised as a tactical strategy RPG.
Man, you make it sound as if those games were a bad thing. But you know what? She did so many stupid things as PR that Nintendo had a good reason to fire her even without Wayne foundation getting involved and without her cheese pizza thesis. If I was a Nintendo exec I would have shown her the door right after she began to post about intersectional feminism on behalf of Nintendo because Nintendo sells games, not feminism, especially not intersectional feminism.
