Treasure: Aww man... Easter is a christian religious celebration you know, so why you celebrate it in the 1st place? Also, when you're a Cretan like me whose compatriots shed blood to unite themselves with the country which bears the Greek flag and made heroic achievements near it (at everybody else: it's Greek so use Google translate), and live in a quasi-forgotten Greek place like Cyprus, well you can't ignore such things as your own nationality and flag, even though the current government of Greece really, really sucks!
Wars are for profit.
I'm not about to change the way humanity's been thinking since the very beginning but I sure as hell can stay the hell away from the whole mentallity.

sunshinecorp: I don't. I eat the food. Am I not allowed to eat the food? :P
avatar
NuffCatnip: NO! :P
Tough, cause I'll eat it anyway! :D

Treasure: P.S. Sorry if I sound agressive, but I'm annoyed when I see people who don't give a crap about that stuff because if Greece fills up with them no way we'll get out of the trouble we're in....
It's not the current state of Greece that makes me not care. I never cared. Ever, ever.

I didn't say anything about aggressive war, but about revolt against unfair tyrants (the Turkish). After all, if a great big bully was tormenting you for 300+ years wouldn't you feel like hitting him back too?

edit-btw the way this forum works you don't catch up with my replies and I dont with yours. Oh well... suit yourself anyways.... (have your opinions, guess I just wanted to show mine for whatever reason)

Yes. I would. And I'd probably be right there, blowing things up. But it'd be for myself, not for my country.
Same thing goes for WWII. I'd be killing nazis as a hobby. I hate fascism. But I don't love countries.

sunshinecorp: Well, we traditionally eat kokoretsi which is pieces of lamb offal (sweetbreads, liver, heart, lungs, spleen, kidney and fat) that are pierced on a spit and covered by washed lamb or goat intestines wound around in a tube-like fashion, then roasted over a coal fire, splinantero which consists of liver, spleen, and small intestine, roasted over an open fire and magiritsa, a soup made with lamb offal and lettuce in a white sauce. And of course lamb spit roasted slowly over a coal fire. We like our meats. And they're all fucking delicious.
...you know suddenly im not hungry anymore
I don't know about Easter, but today I crucified two thieves and a prophet.

As long as you didn't kill Bwian...

Since the shops here have been selling cheap Easter Eggs since Christmas I've been eating them for months (and as an atheist I celebrate neither religiously but enjoy the festivities and food of both), as for Easter itself, I'll be working ny arse off as Easter is always a busy weekend for catering and events.
Oh yeah:
