Sad to read your announcement.. I always experienced you as someone who is not afraid to take an opposite position in a discussion, taking much "Flakfeuer" and still being reasonable, maintaining a position with arguments..

The thing is, that I have the expression that it is a new trend here for some people to not discuss a topic, but to try to get someone to the edge and yes, I noticed too that social interactions here have taken one more step towards the internet normal, which worries me too.

Just stay away from troll magnet threads where you know there are going to be a lot of people in each others faces. If someone post something that annoys you just don't respond after awhile they will realise its like one-hand clapping, it's pointless.

But they're not really attacking you, unless they are making posts and berating you and whatnot. Otherwise it is just trivial rep BS that doesn't really do anything except change numbers under your name, which I would hope you could easily ignore in order to remain having fun here. You should just stop letting it take your focus and energy! Not that I can't understand how aggravating it must be, that really sucks! But use your mental control to get past it and come back to being a worthwhile contributor, please!

Yeap, and the worst part is when they promise that they will fix something and that they're listening to us. While i don't care about the whole drm-free or not, i was starting to buy more games here because gog offers games from time to time and i don't like the route that Steam is heading.
But like you, i don't feel like giving them money, they're ignoring their community, we might be the minority but we still buy games and even use the forums to gift games bought on gog!
Hell, we even work for free as customer support...

And the rep... That is what i don't get it, i do not get how can someone be so vengeful and patient to downvote someone for so long, i mean, in your case, - 300 rep, that would take what? 3 months?
When i was a mod on a portuguese gaming forum, there was this kid (kind of annoying) that decided that was a good idea to sell a fake iphone on the forum, luckly one of our members mentioned that the icons/screen (or something like that, can't remember) wasn't right so it was fake.

Obviously i banned the guy right there and as revenge, he created some accounts and downvoted my posts in one night, it went from nearly 1000 rep to 200 and something. Unlike this forum, the admin removed the option to downvote posts and that was the end of it (well, the scumbag went to another forum and managed to sell the fake iphone, don't know how that ended but the police was involved).
