Boy you guys sure do like to argue a lot and for a long time.

Of course somebody could make lots of accounts or a few accounts and go after somebody's rep. That was an indisputable fact from the word go. Would somebody actually do that? Who knows? Given the insanity so often seen in this world it really is not a stretch to imagine somebody wasting their time like that just to be vindictive. How can that be argued about and for page after page of posts?

How you people could go back and forth about that for this long is beyond me, except that you must relish arguing with one another.

To me, this thread is just further proof that this rep system breeds negativity and in this case it takes the form of arguing about who is doing what with this system. In worse cases it takes the form of threads by downrepped people complaining about it which then results in them being further downrepped for bringing this topic up.

Really, it just stinks the way it is in my view. I'd like to see it tossed for a simple post count and then people can move on to hopefully more positive discussions or at least find something else to fight about that would not be the forum's or GOG's fault.

I don't see the argument having ended at all. It was still going as of what I wrote just now which was why I wrote it. Anyway, I'd rather be part of a solution hopefully than the problem so I don't want to argue about anything really. I put up a Suggestion to remove the rep system and replace it with a post count and I made a post telling people the vote item is there if they are interested, etc. From here on in, the people and the powers that be at GOG will decide what goes on. I cannot have any further impact than to try what i just tried.

Yeah, its a simple matter. My guess is that a well known person like him just can't have his forum honour tarnished by an unknown poster. Otherwise I really have no idea why he would keep insisting people would do the 100 accounts thing, especially after he himself found out it only takes 5 to 10.
