UPDATE: The first No Man's Sky update is now out!
It's a much-awaited bundle of fixes, as well as compatibility and performance improvements and you can grab it now via GOG Galaxy auto-updates, or with the newest offline installers.

No Man's Sky a massive science-fiction game set in an infinite procedurally generated galaxy, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com. Note that the game takes place in one persistent PC universe, shared across GOG and Steam.

In an intergalactic society, only the few set off towards the stars — explorers, those unafraid, those with nothing to lose. They set off never to come back as far as any of us are concerned. And thus, we still look up at an infinite sky, now within our reach, yet still untouched — a no man's land, a No Man's Sky.

No Man's Sky promises discovery of an infinite, uncharted universe. Its billions of stars, planets, unknown living creatures, breathtaking sights and lonely wastelands — all seamlessly connected — gradually getting catalogued by explorers drawn to the distant mysteries of the horizon, eager to leave a permanent mark in their wake.

The frontier is merciless and dangerous. Exposed to a universe of extremities in your fragile suit and ship, you'll need resources and upgrades to get far — as well as the means to stand your ground in a fight. Whether you journey to the center of it all or seek out the farthest reaches of existence, the trip will not be simple or dull. You'll catalogue things unseen, discover alien artifacts and reveal the greatest mysteries of the universe. If you survive.

Calibrate your suits for extreme insomnia, reach out and touch the No Man's Sky, DRM-free on GOG.com!
I was hoping the necro was along the lines of "Amazing new update introduces all the missing features into the game".

The first time the NMS team tried that on.. facebook? Twitter? whatever; first time they did the answers where stuff along the lines of "don't belive you lying POS" and similar. Since then they (IMO understandably) went dark with their information flow. Of course other ppl complain now because of that.

Do you still believe in Santa Claus?

fishbaits: NMS hits the headlines again and as per usual, not in a good way...

Hahaha. I hope that the investigation will succeed—that will serve them right. Of course, it won't stop other companies from doing the same, but actions need to be taken to show them that this is not acceptable.

Indeed... funny though, when I first read your post I read it as: "... same, but auctions need to be taken to show them ...", as in selling off the company's assets to recompense gamers that were misled. :)

Well, that would certainly be an action. :P

Edit. Modified a word.

Screw all that, why are they still charging $59.99 for this game?

Just buy X3:Terran War Pack instead, or join the giveaway of two copies of it in the X3 Bonanza Giveaway MkII thread.

I guess because they can. Judging by how fast the game dropped from #2 position on Steam stats on release day with 400000+ players to vanishing completely off the top 100 list a week or two ago with less than 1500 or so players, while simultaneously getting a continuous high-volume rate of terrible reviews and a 34% and declining "mostly negative" rating - I predict the game's base price will drop significantly within another 1-3 months, and then probably again every few months after that. Within 1 year from the release date I'll be surprised if it is regular priced any more than $19.99 USD and going on sale for $4.99, if not $9.99 and $2.49.

I also wouldn't be surprised to see it hit the bundle sites as tier 1 entry fodder.
Who wana buy No man sky for 40e add me...

At 4.99 I may even buy it ))
So; this week (tomorrow to be specific) is the NEXT patch coming (preview) which brings a lot of neat stuff; among other some form of character customization, the switch between FPP & TPP play and multiplayer. While I'm curious if & how the multiplayer will apply to gog/galaxy I'm really looking forward to everything else.

GOG replied on Twitter that they will have news soon about the update. I'm pretty sure we will get multiplayer.

Great! thx :)
Considering Diluvion is going through a major rework over on Steam with nary a peep over here, I'm not holding my breath the updates will be swift and simultaneous for No Man's Sky on GOG.
