CarrionCrow: Absolutely. So much so I would almost be compelled to put a blonde wig on him and call him "Queen Mistress Snugglepants".
At least I didn't say who was wearing the outfit and who was doing the pouring...

Not like I’m interested in anime to begin with, but censored anime to boot? No, I’ll not accept that even if offered for free.

Icky.

Buenro-games: Is this for Mature Audiences only because the young girl smokes cigarettes? I don't think that shocks me that much.

Senteria: Because of nudity. Then again, this game is the censored version. I already got the uncensored version. :)

@gog people: Who made the decission for it to release it here censored. You guys or the dev? Just curious

I don't need to have it uncensored per se, but I just don't like censoring things in any form or shape.
Well, the interesting thing is that even though they have the censored version here, there is still the patch available from the dev site to make it the "uncensored" version. I imagine that GOG was aware of this ahead of time and that there wasn't an extra cost to have both.

It seems that the way the game is now, it has some appeal to a larger group of individuals: those who want to have an adult themed game (sure, even if it is to satisfy a sense of curiosity) and those who seem to oppose full-frontal nudity in a video game as it would corrupt virgin eyes. However, the ability to keep it censored or uncensored is there and up to the person owning the game.

At least this way, those seeking the adult entertainment can enjoy playing the mini-games, while the truly offended can sneak off in secret to install the patch and not lose their moral high ground. :)
Say what you will about Ryan Koons, but he is/was a nice guy to me. My name was left off the list of Kickstarter backers in the credits and he got back to me instantly. He fixed it on the subsequent patch. So he has my respect for listening to me and responding in a timely manner. There are very few devs I can respect, Ryan is one of them.

maz.588: Reading the thread I understand the game is censored but is easily uncensored.

However, unless I missed it, noone said if the art is censored or not.

Can someone who bought it tell us if the pictures are censored ?
I can vouch as I bought the Deluxe Edition upgrade and it was indeed censored, but I also went to the main site and, as a test, bought the affordable Digital Art Collection on www.huniepot.com . That art package has all of the same art, PLUS the uncensored art. If it's what you'd like to have, as in the complete package, I recommend getting that art pack. It may be the "uncensored", but it definitely feels like your getting more for your money. And the uncensored patch for GOG obviously doesn't give you uncensored out-of-game images.

You made me recall this.................which shows they could loose something more than the high ground and tactical advantage :P
So glad to see it here! I was wondering when it was going to get released after it was revealed that GOG gave it the greenlight a month or two back -- I guess timing it to coincide with the Lula release was the happy reason. :)

I'd also have preferred to see it uncensored at GOG, but can appreciate that there may be legal/business ramifications for doing so given GOG's global distribution status.

HaaYaargh: Our version is a censored one.
I'll keep my money then.

What a terrible and idiotic business decision. Why the censored version? "Uncensored versions of games" is the 3rd most popular wish in the community wishlist and it's marked as "in progress".

I don't care that the developers are giving away an uncensor patch for free in this particular case. This is for the principle, as this is setting a bad precedent for GOG.com. All forms of art and media should never be censored, period. In all cases, it makes the end product worse.

I'm sick and tired of censored games. I don't want them. Nobody wants them. The only reason they exist is because of a few close-minded people that are offended when they see something they're not used to and constantly complain about it, and corporations that listen to them in fear of losing their reputation. Guess what GOG, you're losing your reputation in my eyes right now.
Sweet! Shame about it being censored, but at least there's an official patch to easily restore it. Glad to see both this and Lula on GOG.

How about some kind of optional lightweight age verification here to allow uncensored versions of mature games to be sold in places with problematic censorship laws (United States, Germany, Australia, etc)? Just make it so that unverified accounts in those countries can't see or purchase or be gifted such games. And add an account setting for users with verified accounts to be able to choose to filter and not display erotic games (in case they want to buy Hatred but not see any boobs... hehe).

So...

Seduce Me next? ;)

I agree with the gist of what you're saying, but I hope that HuniePop doing well here might push GOG in the right direction.

I pretty much insta-bought this and spent the entire day playing it. It was a good way to spend a Friday. I also bought the digital upgrade when I realized that the soundtrack in this game is actually really solid, seriously check out the music for the ice rink and you will see what I mean. I wanted to play this game ever since this game came out and saw how funny the game was, seriously I wanted to buy it based on the writing which gives absolutely no fucks. It's great to see that the Match 3 part of the game is really good of course, it's a lot better than it has any right to be that's for sure. I know there was some people in the comments complaining about this games release on here and to those people I say this is not some throwaway game with naked anime girls for you to jerk off too, there was actual effort put into this and besides even if that was the case what's wrong with a porn game on here? does that really mean GOG's curation here sucks? because honestly I would take hundreds of those before I would see one awful early access unity game that is unplayable. if those ever showed up then by all means raise all the red flags you wish because I will stand with you on that if that ever happens

StorkV88: The artwork I checked was censored.

(I got the Deluxe Edition cause I like the soundtracks)
Wait what? The artwork is censored? You mean the content in the deluxe edition upgrade?

Edit: NVM, I saw JinseiNGC224's post.

This is seriously bad form GOG, and the first time I have ever considered passing on something here. You didn't screw up the Witcher 2 or Hotline Miami 2 for everyone else because of Australia, so I want an answer: Why you are forcing censorship on everyone with this game?
