Mature content notice: HuniePop contains explicit language, strong sexual themes, partial nudity and is intended for mature audiences.
I am hoping that this allows Grisaia, Muv-Luv, and World End Economica to make their way to GOG. Preferably, unmolested by the morality police.

So, I spent a good bit of time reading the comments and I am noticing a trend here. Fortunately there are more people here that are positive to games with adult themes than there are against.

For those with hypersensitive dispositions, severely triggered by the experience, have a Kale smoothie to ease the pain.

Eh, give it time, maybe another decade or so. Remember how it was back in the '90s for violent and gory videogames? Now nobody seems to mind them anymore (or at least I'm under the impression that the "videogames turn people into murderers" clichè has gone the way of the dodo).
Some things just take a looong time to be broadly accepted.

Okay I don't have a problem with adult oriented games, but a Kale smoothie!?

Now I'm going to puke. :P

Dear Skabb15,

Don't worry, you'll be able to get ahold of your very own copy soon enough.

A bit of advice in the meantime - try to tone it down a little. It becomes difficult to take you seriously when the overwhelming visual is that of you typing out a review while wearing a pair of soiled undergarments on your head, proclaiming to no one in particular that you're really not a bad boy in between chewing on the frilly bits.

Yeah, something deep-seated going on there. :)

Repressive self-loathing is a terrible thing. Some people like to play match-3 games that contain some nudity. Other people like to dress up like Sailor Moon while having freshly microwaved Cheez Whiz poured on their genitals.
And both those things are okay. Don't be afraid to be who you are.
YES, I SCORED!!!!

I mean this is quite interesting from a scientific point of view.

HiPhish: I have heard about this game, question is: is it actually a good game or is it just a funny game. What I mean is, if you stripped out all the boobs and reduced it just to match-3 would it still be worth playing? Nothing against boobs, but if I just wanted porn there are better ways to get it.

songblev: Yes, you could remove all the sex and the game would still be a very fun match-3 title. The big twists to the standard Bejeweled type gameplay are that (1) you have various items which perform certain functions (convert icons to other icons, remove all icons of a certain color, etc.) and (2) each lady has different colors that she likes which means that sometimes you need to be trying to get as many reds as possible and sometimes as many blues as possible. The hearts help you build a multiplier, the broken hearts hurt, and the bells give you more moves. The humor is great in the game, but you could remove all the adult scenes and scale back the sex factor quite a bit and it would still be really fun.
as a shameful male hetero scumbag that shouldn't be allowed to breath around (pun intended, to whoever would take offense of the joke), i approve the content of your comment

i even think (how dare i ? people like me are supposedly brainless) that the game in fact sattirize the typical eroge/hentai games through exxageration and clichés...

the faery is so gross and behaving as a parody of a teenboy/man's dream that she is she is a total turnoff to me

(some sarcasm, pun and bitterness subtlely hid in this message, just pretend you didn't notice any of it :)
Great to see it finally on here.
Looks like the continual threads asking about it payed off. :)

Shame it's the censored version, but better than nothing, especially with the patch so easily obtained.

Huh. I guess I liked the game enough that I'm actually thinking about picking up a second copy here for a fiver. The censor workaround seems to be easy enough. I'm such a perv! =P

avatar
Pidgeot: As promised.

I will agree with what several people have said; I wouldn't mind a slightly clearer promotion of the patch... but at least there's a stickied thread in the game's forum; better than nothing.
Now I'm curious. Maybe you can answer this question then: Is the artbook censored (as in the slightly more explicit pics are missing)? I wouldn't be surprised if it was.

We also got Lula: The Sexy Empire today so no worries :)

Absolutely. So much so I would almost be compelled to put a blonde wig on him and call him "Queen Mistress Snugglepants".

At least I didn't say who was wearing the outfit and who was doing the pouring...
