MarkoH01: a) You still have not answered my question if the humble drm-free version is the same (meaning that the game ships without this additional file).
While I have only played the Linux version from Humble, that one is uncensored by default and has an option to enable the "censoring" (ie. underwear). I would assume that the Windows version is the same, but I could, of course, be mistaken.

liamphoenix: I don't see what the "OMG CENSHORSHIP!!!11" cries are for, the assets are in the game, it just needs a single file to be in the game directory to switch which ones are displayed.
There is no "OMG censorship" issue - at least not for me. The issue for me is "they chose the censored version (which need additional uncensoring) instead of the uncensored one". Why did they do this? It is stated here (and it's on wilki too as I just fond out) that there is in fact a version for other distributors which is uncensored. So did GOG have the choice to get this one? And if they did why did they chose the other version?

And yes, I have totally and absolutely understood that the files are nearly identical and that it is a matter of seconds to uncensor the game. Still my question remains unanswered.

Ha ha ha. LOL. LMAO. Top kek.

Just for causing this amount of drama I am going to buy this again on GOG with the "DLC" then load my original version and have a nice wank to it.

EDIT: Shit. It turns out I have no money left.

In this article my problem is described:
http://kotaku.com/the-sex-games-that-steam-censors-1680718912

It has been critizised that Steam censors games or don't allow uncensored games. I do critizise the same. If the humble version really is uncensored out of the box I will wait for it to be cheaper (it was on sale not long ago so I guess it will be on sale again sometime). I really hoped that GOG would be more open minded than Steam but obviously I was wrong.

It may very well boil down to a legal issue.

Since GOG doesn't ask (or verify) for personal info, they may be liable if a minor stumble upon some explicit content in a game.

I know that's what I'd be deadly afraid about if I was them. Ultra conservative parents are the worst...

PS: How do we turn the censorship off? I want to see what the fuss is all about...

EDIT: Nevermind, found it on the first page of posts.

I watched a Youtube videos with the "uncensored" gameplay. Its just a few boobies and and one etchi picture per woman. Not big of a deal. And I can't see legal reasons. If there are legal reasons for the Developer they would not offer the "fix" or offer an uncut version via Humble Store. If there are legal reasons for GOG they would not offer Lula: The Sexy Empire or the Witcher Games. So I don't understand the reason to sell the game in a cut version. I'm kind of curious about it but I won't buy a cut version, even when a fix is available from the developer.
It took me all of a minute to decensor it and I'm a moron! :D

liamphoenix: This censorship is no more of an issue than the Sunrider game, which is to say, none at all.
The annoying thing is the censorship in the first place.
Also, it's not stated clearly, and you have to search for the file\info elsewhere.
Luckly the fix is super easy.

That sentence should be written in the cover as a testimonial promo marketing strategy.

tammerwhisk: This post... just 'wat'? The game is censored and is far from the only crude game on gog (hell there is a gogmix of games with nudity). There are multiple games on gog that go well beyond 'artistic' nudity anyway. And considering the number of games featuring dismemberment, gore, and mutilations the "save the children" mindset is idiotic.

Blood: One Unit Whole Blood
Blood 2
Bloodrayne
Bloodrayne 2
Carmageddon Max Pack
Carmageddon 2
The Cat Lady
Clive Barker's Undying
D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die
Deadly Premonition
Downfall
Duke Nukem 3D
Game of Thrones: Telltale
Harvester
Hitman
Hitman 2
Hitman 3
Hotline Miami
Hotline Miami 2
Leisure Suit Larry series (especially Magna Cum Laude which is just straight crude)
Lucius
Mortal Kombat 1+2+3
Outlast
Painkiller
Phantasmagoria 1+2
Post Mortem
Postal 1+2
Shadow Warrior (2013)
Shadow Warrior Classic
Sin Gold
Still Life 1+2
The Void
The Walking Dead 1+2
The Witcher 1+2+3
Wolfenstein

And More

Clearly a family friendly store. /s

Of all the reasons to argue against this game you chose literally the dumbest possible reason.

bad_fur_day1: I'm so glad you think my opinion on why possibly Gog went with the uncensored version idiotic and dumb. F**k off bro.
Woah woah watch the language, this is supposed to be a "family friendly" place.

In all seriousness nice debate skills. Rather than counter anything you decided to just get pissy and tell me to fuck off. Clearly you are a bastion of reason, logic, and maturity.
I can't see the problem if the dev offers an uncensoring patch for free.
It's really not any different from any other kind of patch for any kind of game already present here.
I also don't know why people are getting so worked up on this game... It's Bejeweled, if anything, the problem should be that it will open the doors for these kind of games, and we still don't have Tetris.
Both Huniepop *and* Hatred are mediocre games. One is actually just a light example of a porn game (I think we all know there are worse things out there...) and Hatred is just a bad copy of Postal (which already was a so-so game). However, it's nice we have these kind of games, because it shows how weird people can be sometimes. I mean, in this very page we have a review for Huniepop where a guy tells everybody who like anime girls to kill themselves or something like that. Why does that happen?

I second this motion.

Djaron: people around me would look differently at me would they see/know what i ever do to/with my "sims" (even with the vanilla unmodded games...) :)

but given what i can hear and see around sometimes, i wonder wether it is them or me who got a trouble making difference between game/fiction and reality

JDelekto: I don't think it is anything abnormal. There is a lot of stress people have in their life and they need to relieve it. However, due to urban development, the ability to relieve that stress is shrinking. When I was younger, I could go out and chop wood. Others' don't have that luxury in different environments.

I think the sandbox games allow one to virtually "chop wood" and relieve the stress they tend to "pent up" otherwise.
Maybe it works for guys, but girls wouldn´t be able to "chop wood" ;P.

Someone in here, who shall remain nameless, while playing Terraria put the toilet way up in a tree where no one could get to it.

THAT is abnormal! AND CRUEL! :P

KneeTheCap: To be honest, the puzzle element in this game is top notch. Very enjoyable.

amok: may be, but I do hope that in the long run it will also make it possible for games like Bejeweled 2, Puzzle Quest, Heroes of Hellas 3, Jewels of Cleopatra, The Treasures of Montezuma 3, Runefall etc. All very good games, but previous I guess they would be "too casual" to be here. This changes things?
You forgot Square Enix's Gyromancer. It is basically Bejweled 2 with summons.

Praise the maker! The course of events of this week have meant my birthday is worthy of celebration. The world seems to have a good streak now. I am super gald! Too bad I am unemployed, but once I get some spare cash I am buying this even at full price. Something I rearely do.
