Also, it's not stated clearly, and you have to search for the file\info elsewhere.
Luckly the fix is super easy.
I just wish anime were so easy to fix. Some of those glares are enough to burn your eyes out, and the black bars...

Renascent: Steam would not have shipped this game if the hardcore content was "out of the box". If you are a dev and want to sell your game on steam, what do you do? I really do not understand why you are so obsessed with having the hardcore content available "out of the box" or in a form of "tick this box in the settings menu". The hardcore content is with the game regardless of where you buy it from. You don't get a "lesser" version. Steam's version of the art collection does not have hard core content, so if you want that you have to buy it from the dev's site.

MarkoH01: a) You still have not answered my question if the humble drm-free version is the same (meaning that the game ships without this additional file).

b) Your confusion about my thoughts is probably due to the fact that you still have not understood WHAT my problem here is. It's NOT that the game is censored. My problem is that a publisher which I like very much (GOG) MAY have decided to use a censored version of the game instead of an uncensored one out of the box. The DECISION is my problem not the game. If nobody had forced GOG then I don't like their decision. If there were however no other version/option for GOG available because the devs only gave away versions without the "unncesor flag" out of the box then GOG would be innocent. If the devs however gave them the choice and GOG chose to use the censored version (out of the box) instead of the uncensored (out of the box - in case such version does in fact even exist) I don't want to support such thinking. If GOG or the devs would have answered this simple question (whose decision was it) the problem and question for me would be completely solved. It's just a matter of principle nothing more and all depend on this simple question. ONe official statement would lead me to buy the game here instantly - or not.
a) The humble bundle does NOT ship the file, same goes for Steam.
b) Your problem is trivial because 1) the "problem" can be fixed and the devs have been very vocal about how and 2) GoG ships the game when they know about the "patch and 3) Steam hasn't taken the game down after the devs posted a way to circumvent the restriction. 4) The game ships with vaginas and boobies. If you took a hash comparison between the two versions you would see you would get the same hash.

I can agree that GoG should clearly state what kind of version they ship, just for the sake of transparency. However this is not a case where content is taken out of the game, if it was... then your complaint/principle would be valid. As it stands, both GoG and Steam decide which games they want to store. They could easily choose to not store the game at all. Would you go all up in arms about that too? Because the game was declined when the dev first sent a request, though it was declined for different reasons than boobies.

They forget sex and nudity is an integral and normal part of life, and violence is not, but they are still ok with violence in games for children and not ok with natural human body parts and interaction between them.

This whole "protect the children" bullshit has gone totally out of control.

There's another thing you should keep in mind: lots of services have some "no racist, porn, blah blah blah" TOS. Maybe GOG would violate contracts with partners like paysafecard if they'd sell the uncensored version and lose this payment option? Last time I checked, paysafecard (anonymous payment!!!) wasn't a payment option on porn sites (where most people want to stay anonymous) ;)

The Witcher and this aren''t the only games with questionable content on gog. There are numerous games infinitely more fucked up content wise here.

Pretty sure I've seen paysafecard (along with basically everyone else under the sun) as an option on a file-hosting site that is commonly used by people to reupload cam girls.... So I really doubt content matters all that much to those companies as long as it isn't overt "in your face" type stuff (money is money).
