FlavioV: Just got my key from Prime Gaming. It's the standard edition.
https://gaming.amazon.com/loot/shadowofwar

Is there any difference for the definitive edition other than the expansions?
avatar
Ghildrean: Definitive Edition is just base game + Expansion Pass, no other differences.
Good to know, thanks! The expansion pass is just about $2 here so I might just complete the set ^_^

Also, has anyone actually bought the definitive edition? Does it show up in the library as DE or just the main game with DLC?

Cool redeemed the amazon prime copy of the game and bought the expansion. Though from what I hear I need to put those savings towards a larger hard drive :)

bought DE release day.
Expansion pass is a mere 26MB additional download on the offline installers.

Edit: in the library it just shows as "shadow of war" on the store page both versions show as owned (in case thats of any use).

I'm just going to finish a few Lego games to clear some space. Maybe purge most DOS games for being savagely more clunky than I expected, for what little difference that'll make.
thx jeff!
I wonder how many hours of video there are.
30GB rendered 4k videos ... with a half decent codec that's 6+ hours, with a good codec even more.
I'm not sure I understand the pricing. It may also be that what I don't get is what exactly each product includes.
Let's see, apparently the Definitive Edition (base price at around $50) is the base game with the expansion pass (base price at around $40... EACH).
Is that correct? So, you buy the base game for $40, and if you want to upgrade it then you have to spend another $40?

Yes. It seems that this is targeted at amazon prime users that got the base game this month.

Yup, that's correct.

Yes, expansions are absurdly priced. In other places they're $15-20 each which is even more expensive than this season pass.

It seems but is not.

I agree with your thinking as that was my thought as well. It made me purchase the season pass if that proves anything. I have a sneaking suspicion that price changes will come shortly after it's no longer available for prime members. I mean....from a business perspective, it's the only way to go.
Great . I thought the game will be discounted until the end of the WB sale . =(
Hi there,

sadly the same bug happend like in the Anniversary Sale and now some games/dlc arent discounted anymore, but the sale is still going for about 4 hours.

Wanted to get the Definitive Upgrade for my Shadow of War.

Maybe there is an Team Member here, that could fix this in the last minutes of this sale, would be cool.

And hope you find out what is causing this bug.

What's up with GOG!?

Every sale this weekend has been messed up!

I'm sorry to say this, but... locally, I remember a department store that slowly went from clear sales and pricing to muddled sales and unclear pricing. Didn't bode well for that company. Hope GOG isn't on that same path. Anyway...

Guess I won't be buying the Shadow of War Expansion Pass. *sigh*
