An uplifting adventure.

UPDATE: With the conclusion of PAX, the 20% pre-order discount for the game has been changed to 10%. D-Pad Studio also announced that Owlboy is scheduled to take off on November 1st!

Owlboy, a wonderful flight through old-school aesthetics and unique platforming mechanics, is now available for pre-order, DRM-free on GOG.com, with a 10% pre-order discount.

Otus doesn't say much but his spirit and determination speak volumes. Just as the beloved owlboy is coming of age, a surprise attack by sky pirates forces him to ride the winds of change and begin his turbulent journey across the aching land. To counter-balance his non-violent nature, Otus will enlist several of his less cordial friends, who are able to gun down the monsters that infest his beloved home. Apart from their unique abilities, the owlboy will share with them stories and companionship, as they flap together towards an open-world full of cavernous dungeons, dangerous ruins, and challenging bosses. Remember: carrying is caring!

Pre-order Owlboy and take to the pixel-perfect skies, DRM-free on GOG.com.
Pre-order bonus: the dreamy OST is free for the early owls, available to download right away both on mp3 and FLAC formats!
The 10% discount will last until the game's release on November 1st.

DPadStudio: Hi everyone! I just wanted to let you know, for those who are pre-ordering our game on GOG, we'll unlock the entire soundtrack once the game launches :-)
Ok, I guess you give me no choice but to pre-order. Awesome! =D

almabrds: This is simply fantastic!

Argh, I don't think I'll be able to wait now (I usually wait, because I dislike pre-ordering stuff) =P

groze: I've been waiting for Owlboy for about 7 or 8 years, but this final stretch seems harder. :P

I want it to be November 1st already, Owlboy is my most wanted game of 2016, so far!!!

[EDIT] It would be awesome if DPad made the Pax demo available for us to have something to play while we wait for the game to release, but I guess that would be too much to ask. :( The game looks so gorgeous, I can't wait to play it!
Wow, you have been waiting since they started development or something?
About the impatience, I know, I've felt this before.

My advice would be to replay the demo (Yes, it's from 2011, but it's the closest thing to the full game available), or if you don't want that, go to your library and complete one of your games. I'm sure there is a game you haven't finished yet.

Yes, the game is gorgeous. There are people that dislike anything that isn't in nice 3D graphics, as if that made a good game, I feel bad for them.

One of the reasons they don't release the newer demo, I think, is to keep their fans "drooling" about the new stuff.
Eric Barone was in Pax West, and he did the same thing, an exclusive demo with new stuff you will see in Stardew Valley 1.1.

Last game I "pre-ordered" on GOG before Owlboy... let me think... I guess it was Grim Fandango. :)
i'm looking foreward to this myself. i wonder how the game's layout will be? one big world? a hub world with smaller levels branching off, traditional level progression?

Good question, I've been wondering about that myself...

Judging from the press demo and website, the hubs/levels can be fairly huge, but there are still transitions with loading screens (in which Owlboy is shown running in absolute darkness on the lower right on the screen).

Hi everyone! 5 days till release now, and I thought I'd share some news with you :-)

We've uploaded a music video from one of the levels in Owlboy, to give you a taste of the soundtrack(which you'll be getting if you pre-ordered the game). You can check it out here: Owlboy Soundtrack - Mesos

We've also started seeing reviews pop up, and well, needless to say, we're still in shock from all the positive words that has started to spread. Together with this, we just launched a sparkly new website for the game!

Hah! Good old Jim Sterling. Regardless whether he's giving 1/10 or 10/10, he details hundreds of annoyances. He just can't help it. :)

Looking forward to Owlboy very much, especially since GOG has more or less missed my taste by miles for months.

If only you could release this weekend already. Then again, 1st of November is a holiday in my federal state for some strange reason. Just please make it early on Tuesday!

Three days to go, I'm so pumped for this!

OK guys! New music video is up, so you can hear and see one of my favorite tracks from the game!
This one is called Tropos by Day And Night (YouTube).

On Monday (the day before launch), we will share one more music video with you, to celebrate that the game is finally complete!

These songs will be included in the soundtrack as two seperate songs for those who pre-ordered!

They already are, actually. :)
I'm trying really hard not to spoil any of the soundtrack for myself, but I've been hearing nothing but good things about it.

My preorder is in, so I've done my part, regardless.
