I liked the last 3 humble book bundles, but this one... I will pass
In principle I have nothing against audiobooks but my regular activities don't really encourage me to listen to them.
I bought a few a while ago and I still have to listen to a couple of them.
I bought the bundle for $1, to see how I like audiobooks and whether I find them useful. I burned a CD of the (first and second parts of) The Hunger Games to listen to in my car. So far I'm enjoying it. I drive around 15 minutes a day (discounting taking the kids to kindergarten/school, when I won't listen to this), so it will take me a long while to finish a book, but it still feels like a good way to spend that time.

I'm tempted to up my pledge to the next tier, or even the third (to get Mockingjay), but I'm still hesitating. It's mostly books aimed at 10 year olds or so, and while I'm sure I'll enjoy them I'm not sure if I shouldn't aim higher. My own kids don't know English yet (but they're also not at the relevant age), and I'm not sure if it will be relevant in the future.

I think I'll wait to see the additional books.
So all three Hunger Games books? If I'm not mistaken, it's a trilogy, no? Wanted to get them anyway, so might as well get them in Audiobook form.

Though I wonder why this is:

Unclaimed bundles risk deactivation thirty days after this promotion ends.
And like always, no DRM, right?
Second week additions to the BTA tier:

- Goosebumps Horrorland #4: The Scream of the Haunted Mask by R.L. Stine
- The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick
- The 39 Clues Book Two: One False Note by Gordon Korman
- Infinity Ring Book 2: Divide and Conquer by Carrie Ryan
Yeah, I think this is mostly worth buying for the Hunger Games trilogy. Though The Infinity Ring Books also sound pretty interesting. Anything else someone would recommend?

Warhorse.
I have not heard the audio book, but it really was a moving film to watch. So if you have the bundle I would suggest you give that a listen.
Upgraded to the BTA to get the Catching Fire, since I'm enjoying The Hunger Games, plus an assortment of other books I might or might not listen to.

I'm hesitating about Mockingjay. It's not bad value at $7, but I might just sign up for an Audible trial and choose it as my free book.

Edit: There's currently a $1.95 per month for 3 months promo at Audible (see here), which means I'm getting three books for $5.85. That's three books for less than I would need to add to get Mockingjay on the Humble bundle. Couldn't resist.

Haven't got it yet (still 5 days left), but I think I'll get it. Thanks for the recommendation.

All DRM free, I take it? Hmm...

I don't think so. At least until the last time I downloaded things from Audible, they were not DRM-Free.

Oh, then I won't get anything from them. Amazon also wants to gift me a free audio book, but I ain't taking them with DRM.

Actually, I guess Amazon's offer is for Audible as Amazon owns Audible.
Yeah, could be, looked into Audible and some other audio book providers at some point, but already forgot my conclusions :D
Still, I opted to not get any audiobooks with DRM. And then again, it's not like I'm such a big audiobook lover, so no harm done.

Naively, I didn't even consider it. Still, what's done is done. I see that there are ways to remove the DRM, some more complex than others. I hope it will work. I will have to use one of these ways, and fuck Audible for the DRM, but at least it looks like it's possible. I'll try not to get over enthusiastic next time without checking such things.
Ah well, shit happens! Good luck with getting rid of that DRM! =D
