*Roosevelt crashes to the ground in a noisy clatter of metal plates. He rolls around for a moment trying to get into a position to pull himself up. His vision is blurred temporarily as he tries to regain control of himself. Angrily, he regains his feet and marches back toward to hag. He pauses as he notices the undead spirits within the party who attacked BenKii.*

"So, it's a foul witch and one of those disgusting necromancers has turned on us. I told you they were not to be trusted. Can anyone collapse the doorway? I can drive the hag back, but I will want someone to seal her back in!"

*He takes a position near the Hag, turtled behind his shield, still shaking loose the cobwebs from being stunned*

phaolo: ( You know, now I wonder if those painting-portals bring to the Hag's sisters.. )
(I would rather suspect maybe that right room has a painting too? And she wants to bring us -or rather BenKii, Roosevelt, Siegfried and Rufus, since I just read they prefer to eat Humans- to them?)
(I also just read -don't know how reliable wikip... is-, that good dragons hunt hags? Maybe that flying thing is a good dragon and all we need to do, is get out of the way so it can see the hag through the door when it comes near enough? Would the room and door even be big enough for a dragon? And could it really be that "easy"?)

(The door is gone. She destroyed it. Unless "explodes outwards" doesn't mean, what I think it means.)

(Oh, of course. Although I doubt she would simply open it quickly. Too normal? So I assume she used magic to blast it away. But I don't know for sure.)
(I really have to go to sleep now. Have to get up in 5 and a half hours. o.O)
67 - Rufus - Human Cleric

Disturbed by the paintings: "I really don't like those moving arts, another curse on us! There might be a connection between the painting world and our."
Rufus asks his guardian to take the lead in the left room and Rufus will walk just behind him, still protected by the Globe of protection.
Seeing the flying movement in a painting, Rufus goes to that painting.

"This! Look! It's comming! It's a bird ! Or maybe it's a Supernightmare! ...for sure a new threat to our group! I'll stop it RIGHT NOW!"
If the painting is easily and quickly flammable Rufus burns it with his torch. If it isn't, Rufus wraps the painting with his net in order to trap anything that would like to come out of it.

"Could someone trap the other painting?"

Rufus and his guardian stay alerted of any living movement from the other painting and any movement in the room.
Do we see anything new in the room?

[68 - Peloquin - Dwarven Thief]

*BOOM* The Right Door blasts outwards! BenKii and Roosevelt receive the force of the explosion and lay on the ground, stunned. Looks like the Elven Mage, Loradan, succeeded to dispell the Magic Ward. Just as my gut had suspected, that sweet voice now revealed herself in all her glorious ugliness: a Hag! Dammit. Another creature too powerful for me to battle and she also spoke of sisters! I did not plan to hang around for such vicious visitors to arrive!

I make a quick entrance into the Left Room, shutting the door behind me, in the hopes the Hag did not notice. My mates can open it if they want in. I step ahead of Rufus, but behind His Guardian, so that I may inspect the room for traps and disarm them if I find any. I glance up at the ceiling too, in case one of the Hag sisters lurks there. I ready my Light Hammer and my Ring Of Free Movement. Judging from the trail of paw prints leading to the right wall, it's as if the Giant Rats popped out from that painting on the right. I notice Half-Orc Battlemage, Roy Jenks, at the painting ahead of us, where I see a winged creature flying in the distance and gradually heading towards us. What is it? I notice Rufus setting up a net to trap whatever may be flying out of that painting ahead of us.

I inspect the painting on the left, the one with a desolate mountain pass, a rope bridge swaying gently in the wind. Is it a trap? If so, can it be disarmed? Is there anything else of interest inside the painting? If things can come out, can things go into the painting? Can I remove it from the wall? I wonder how the three paintings are linked? Maybe we can use it to lure the Hag into this desolate mountain pass?

I turn to Rufus: "What if we held this desolate painting in front of the other to catch that flying creature? Would that work?"

++++++++++++++++++++++++
High constitution. Leather armour.
1 x cure poison potion. 1 x heal potion.
Lockpicks. Trap disarm kit. Rope.
Ring of free movement - this ring means traps and spells to ensnare me will not work.
Shortbow and quiver of enchanted arrows (paralyze).
Lucky dagger. Light hammer.

Fish the Half-Orc Berserker

Foolish humans! Always thinking with the heads between their legs! If that stone monstrosity is able to hold down the hag's arms, I'll quickly climb up it's stony back and bring down my axe on the hag's skull. I have the same plan if it manages to stun the hag. I am hoping that the stone monster can protect me while I attempt to kill the "helpless damsel".

How big are the paintings on the wall? Small enough to lift off the wall and move around without much of an issue, but large enough to completely encompass a person? If something can go back and forth between this world and those worlds, I can see using these as makeshift weapons. Just toss the picture over a creature, and lit it sit facing down on the ground. Let physics do the work of keeping it in there.
Edit: updated course of actions on post 390.

Let's throw all our creatures/elementals/thingies against the witch to weaken her (perhaps they will even spare us the fight).

Provisional actions:

If Tanea is not able to bring BenKii and Roosevelt back to consciousness, I use Heal on them.

If the witch is still alive, I attack her with my silver sword.

After (if) everything is cleanes up, I walk into the left room.

( That's a great idea! Please come deal with that Hag ASAP, before it exterminates the entire party!
Btw, I'd just slash the painting when it's on the ground, instead of waiting for it to get destroyed by fire. )

BenKii: (I'm sorry for starting this mess. I'll stop from editing posts to counter someone else's actions. For everyone else, I'm sorry about that door. I was trying to follow my character's good nature alignment. Otherwise, I'd have left that darn door alone.)
That was the absolute good thing to do! Now we can save all the future victims of this evil hag. She won't fool anyone again!

(Doc's answer to my very same question: "they are all 3 feet high and 2 feet wide")
(Maybe catch that flying thing first and then the Hag? If it's a good dragon, it may appreciate the hag not being able to get away while it's trying to kill her. Well, that is a lot of guess work though.)

Tanea, Halfling Shaman (female)
Will this madness ever end? While I put the rats in danger in order to "save" them, apparently a girl/woman in danger made herself known from behind the right and warded door. There is a heated argument going on, when Siegfried, Roosevelt, the Holy Guardian and I get back to the group. I'm torn. Why didn't she speak up earlier with all the noise going on out here, right in front of these doors even? Is it some kind of diversion? Or a trap? What if she is in danger? Can we just leave her there? Potentially to die? I stay away from the commotion and observe what happens near both doors. I'm no fighter anyway. If it is a trap, others will have to correct the mistake and I will do my best to fix them up later. Disturbing how easily this thought comes to me. What is this place doing to me? Suddenly Web moves to enter through the left door. It's not checked for traps yet! I startle at an unpleasent memory involving Origi, that I brush away instantly, and cast Protection From Elements on him. Then I return to observing, ready to aid my companions, should the need arise, muttering "We are who we are. Scaring me out of my mind, doesn't mean I want you to die. I'm small and weak and frighten easily. There is no happy in dead worlds."

Tanea, Halfling Shaman (female)

58 - FlockeSchnee - Tanea - Halfling Shaman
If the Hag can be made to fall sleep or get entagled (which she probably won't), Tanea will cast either spell. Otherwise she will cast "Protection From Elements" on Siegfried, just in case.
The Ice Elemental positions himself close to the wall in which the door was, hopefully out of (at least immediate) sight of the Hag. If she steps out and gets engaged by the Ghast/Stone Elemental and/or others and his action wouldn't hinder those already "on her", he will try to hit her on the head (from above striking down, _not_ to the side; wouldn't want to accidentaly knock her loose again, if she happened to be in a firm grip already)
Tanea goes to check on BenKii and Roosevelt, if either or both of them require/s healing (and Gilius hasn't already taken care of that), she casts Heal on them (Roosevelt first, because Gilius is with BenKii).

paladin181: "So, it's a foul witch and one of those disgusting necromancers has turned on us. I told you they were not to be trusted. Can anyone collapse the doorway? I can drive the hag back, but I will want someone to seal her back in!"
*rolls eyes* "What a drama queen you are! Worse, you're a drama queen that lacks reading comprehension... do they even teach you how to read in those Paladin schools?"

Yeenwi mentally commands the two Ghasts to flank and attack the Hag and to also try to avoid biting anyone else.

Then Yeenwi shouts at the Hag: "Oh, great Witch, forgive the insolence of these fools. An all-powerful magical being has summoned us and ordered us to find the most worthy of magical wielders. It wants to impart its wisdom, but only to someone deserving. As you can see by the actions of the rabble around, they were not deemed suitable and I was lumped together with them. The path to the being is down this tunnel and then into a metal grate. You might want to hurry, because there are several other parties also looking for candidates. Of course, you can engage in battle here with the fools around you, but then you probably won't get there in time. Just think how much more powerful than your sisters you'd become..."

(Did you literally write your actions out so he could read it? :P Otherwise the reading comprehension seems a weird comment to make.)
