BillyMaysFan59: Good morning

*coffees and silly lattes for whoever needs them*
avatar
CarrionCrow: Good morning. =)

More coffee sounds good, but no lattes. Large amounts of black coffee work just fine.

How are you doing today?
Fine I guess. I assume you made it through that storm OK?
avatar
EndreWhiteMane: *hug back* I actually have trouble writing that. :-)
Doing OK here today.
avatar
ddickinson: That is good to hear. How is the knee, I hope it is getting better?
Slowly getting better, thanks. The ice and knee brace help.
Arthritis and too many years of squatting down to work on computers.
avatar
CarrionCrow: -laughs- The joys of multitasking.

Haven't ever gotten into that one, but from what I've heard, I'll be screaming about horrible voice acting when I do.
It's supposedly absolutely atrocious.
avatar
ddickinson: A game with horrible voice acting and questionable game mechanics. I thought that would be top of your to play list, what with your love of playing bad games. :-)
It's not a love, it's more like a feeling of, "Well, for some reason I felt the desire to buy this. And since I spent money on it, I'm going to play it, whether it's good or bad."
Thankfully, I haven't done that very often, in the overall view of what I've got.
If I had nothing but games like Soulstorm or Planet Stronghold, I'd take up a less painful hobby.
avatar
moonshineshadow: So we could actually communicate easily without extra trying to speak Hochdeutsch :D
Seems so :D.
avatar
ddickinson: I was thinking mainly not to hurt anyone's feelings. But I guess you Americans have to be careful in case the CIA come to pay you a visit. Especially if it is Stan Smith coming after you. :-)
You are definitely right. The more we bring it up, the more likely it is that someone will get offended. I tend to get a bit carried away.

ddickinson: You might as well, as the game is on sale for 5 days, so you have time to check out the weekend sale before you make up your mind.

avatar
CarrionCrow: -waves at the NSA person who somehow got assigned to watch the GOG forums for terrorist activity-

Hi there. =) Come on in, feel free to talk about video games or whatever when you're not being bored silly.
avatar
ddickinson: Do you mean Judas? He was in America for a while. What better way to spy on GOG then have an agent on the inside. His name would be a good giveaway as well, Judas Iscariot was considered to be quite the traitor. :-)
It depends. The stuff that's a high priority to me won't be part of any weekend sale any time soon, they're too expensive, too recent.

Also, Transistor makes me think of cyberpunk. Cyberpunk is one of my absolute favorite genres.

-laughs- There's a thought. An NSA operative, using a forum mod position as a cover, all the way to the hiding in plain sight tactic of streaming games and including their own voice in the recordings.

Yes, it's fine. No damage. Could've used some pet Valium during, since the thunder was loud enough to put the nearby bomb detonations to shame for noisiness, but that's it.
Had to unplug for a few hours until I knew the lightning had stopped, then started up my Icewind run.

j0ekerr: It still beats having four officially recognized languages and any number of regional dialects that are constantly pushing for full language status recognition. Because castilian is an imperialistic tool made to keep their own local culture down.

Facepalms were and are still being had in abundance.
Actually we also have 5 addionitional languages officially recognized in Germany besides German: That would be Danish, Low German (i.e.Plattdüütsch is a different language than German - it eveolved from old saxon), Sorbian, Romani and Frisian.

But there aren't similar development like you described...

Where has that site been my whole life!? XD The Mother Ship has called me back home!
So what does everyone think of today's release?

I'm really interested in it but i don't know if i'll get it today. I hoped it would come to GOG :).
Holy crap, my wife and I may be taking in a little puppy. My last pet was a cactus a good decade ago, so I am nervous but absolutely thrilled. Especially considering I am disabled and unable to drive and such, just the idea of having a little buddy at home with me during the days is exciting as hell. American Bulldog mix, only about 4 weeks old, runt of the litter and a bit malnourished, but that just seems like the perfect fit, And I am confident we will get along swimmingly.

I am at my parents' house for the day to visit and go to a medical appointment, and their back yard is just gorgeous. I am watching deer laze around on the far side of the pond and just thinking about having a new friend at home soon. It's a good day.

Good morning, folks!

I think the system requirements are really high... I need to upgrade :-/
Other than that, it looks like fun. Looks kinda like Bastion, but... cyberpunky.

A good day indeed! :-)
That's the perfect situation to take in a puppy, and good breed to be a buddy for many years.
Enjoy! :-)

That sounds absolutely great! Hope your day continues to be good, and that you'll have many more good ones with a new friend :-)
