We're holding a Contest to celebrate the new free Couple Update from Haven.

You can now choose between different couples, and it comes with new models, new actors, gendered lines, new assets and more!

To join our Contest, simply comment on the forum, what your favorite video game pair is and why.

We will pick 3 of the best entries and reward them with a key for Haven!

lupineshadow: Wow. The contempt for your userbase here...it's becoming clearer and clearer.

JakobFel: Are you seriously comparing a late GIVEAWAY to "contempt for (their) userbase"? I get it, it's annoying, but it's free stuff. It's not like we bought a game and didn't receive it.
Sorry, I guess that wasn't clear it was a reply to the previous post about a giveaway in 2015 that was abandoned, without explanation.

LootHunter: First, this stuff isn't entirely free - some people (though not me) spent a good chunk of their time to come up with an interesting entry for the contest. And, as we know, time is money.

Second, contests like this aren't simply altruistic urges for GOG staff - they are a part of marketing, aimed at attracting and retaining users by promising them a chance to win a game. Small chance sure, but if the promise itself isn't delivered...

JakobFel: If you're not willing to spend that time with the high chance of not winning a reward from it, then that's on you (speaking collectively here).

They are good for marketing, yes, but how does it harm the individual if GOG takes their time with it? Don't get me wrong, I do think they need to stop doing this and announce the winners in a timely fashion but it really doesn't HARM any of the entrants in any way.
If you are running a community competition where the entry is made via posting on the forum, this by default means the user is public already. It does not take weeks to look through 3 pages of entries, the longer you leave it the more it looks like you either forgot, don't care or a combination of both. Timing is key. It may not hurt the entrants, but it does hurt the faith/trust/connection to those running the comp and platform. Even more so when you have a history of comps never fulfilled.

Well something was here to delete the Elon musk twitter thread.
https://www.gog.com/forum/general/elon_musk_is_my_new_hero

It shouldn't be too hard for some gog bot to roll some dice to select the winners if the entry is half decent.
Sorry for the delay! I am sorry the winners weren't directly announced in the thread. However, the keys have been sent to the following users within the two weeks deadline:
- ShadowFungi
- Atiim
- DrLemons
