Full Throttle!

Ride the desert on your big motorcycle to kick Adrian Ripburger @ss and clear you and your gang of Malcolm Corley murder... Atmosphere, characters, design, fun, suspense and thrill... Such a masterpiece!

Also the first broken sword game! Following Georges Stobbart and his killer clown through Paris or Ireland, Middle East was fun times!
Easy, the best criminal case in a videogame is the one present in Grim Fandango, when Manuel "Manny" Calavera found and destroyed the criminal organization behind the Departamento de Muerte (Department of Death) and finally reached the Ninth Underworld! Beautiful story!
The Witcher 3 Carnal Sins quest...

It is one of those quests that differentiate The Witcher 3 from other AAA fantasy RPGs: turning the game into an episode of CSI: Novigrad :-)

A lot of effort had clearly been put into the quest design to make me feel, as a gamer, as if I had just turned into Detective Geralt and it is one of the most memorable quests in the game.

My favorite and most shocking was in the game Murdered: Soul Suspect. It was unlike any other game I had ever played. Can't wait to play Disco Elysium!
"Versailles 1685"

I found and defuse the bomb.
Discworld: Noir
I remember one game… I was fresh on the force, with a thin mustache and (after purchasing this game) a thinner wallet.
The game reminded me of all those noir cases my old partner was always talking my ear off about, damn shame he fell down that elevator shaft on to those bullets.

Every night I try to drown my sorrows in the bottom of a bottle, but I know that when I come back up I'll see all the twists and turns of the case laid out before me just as they were when I investigated but I was too green to spot them for what they really were.

With so many crooked cops in the department I was working overtime every damn day and my sleep-deprived senses made all the suspects sound the same, like they were all (well known) actors out of a big book of British comedy.

Even though I knew it had to end, I cherished every moment of that case, knowing that when I finally closed the book on it I would never see its like again.

Looking back on it all these years later, I'll still do it all the same in a heartbeat, even though it means I didn't end up with the dame.
Regarding the most memorable criminal case you ever solved in a video game is a classic L.A. Noire from Rockstar Games.

Especially the series of cases related to the Black Dahlia from the homicide desk were some of my favorites. The multiple attempts to mislead you with other possible suspects, and then the eventual actual culprit made that string of cases so exciting, and an interesting twist on a historic case.
A Hat in Time parodied a murder mystery, when you finish the level, you find nobody was murdered...
L.A Noir was probably my most memorable criminal case investigation in a video game. The only problem is that the real crime was the horrible ending of that game.
Most memorable case? Heavy rain without a doubt, add the "Sean" bug and it's the best game ever
So many good mysteries come to mind, but I guess solving my own murder in Shadow of Destiny is a hard one to top!
It feels like cheating to use an example from an actual crime drama series, but for me it would be DL-6 from Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. It was memorable not just for the case itself, but how it nicely tied all the events of the game up to that point together, culminating in an incredibly memorable showdown and satisfying resolution.

It instantly turned me into a major fan of the series.
The most memorable case that I ever solved was the quest 'whodunnit' in the game Elder Scrolls: Oblivion because you were not a victim or an investigator in the quest but the killer.
You take on the roll of just a stranger called to a mansion seeking a great treasure but that is just a ruse to lure all the targets into a house and then kill them. Now you could just run in and start killing but the best way to take on the quest is the make friends with everyone and slow 1 by 1 kill them and then talk to them between murders slowly spreading fear and mistrust between the group.
When there are but 3 left including yourself you can convince one of the survivors to kill the last NPC since they are obviously the killer and you couldn't be the killer. So they kill them and finally sigh with relief that the killer is dead, you then pull out your blade and they cannot believe it was you all along, you bring the blade down and then there were none.
Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines

On the case - Carnival of Death

The first body you've met was gruesome, hanging on the street lamp post of Santa Monica. With a couple of cops on the scene. There was a wolf nearby the high cliffs watching over, I thought he was it but he was part of the vampire clans.

The quest was interesting as it actually spans across different location in the game. Eventually leading back to the first area of the game, where the killer was at. Actually met him at the diner at the start, though there wasn't any useful hint or dialogs. Still gave me goosebumps when the killer is revealed, convinced him to stop since I was playing a Ventrue (dialog) playthrough.
