Stuck at 92% too. :( It claims 105.99/106.00 GB, so I don't know what the percent is even referring to. But this sucks. Luckily I already had it installed on my desktop, but I was trying to put it on my laptop so I had something to play on call tonight. Oh well.

Frankly, it pisses me off, we pay the game 60 bucks, impossible to install, I have to do voodoo for it to work?
I even tried to install the game manually, I just spent the morning there, all for the game to tell me that it's not the right version and that I can't join my friends. Unable to get an update or clean install from the Galaxy launcher. I asked for a refund, super disappointed with GoG there right away.

From what I can see in the files Gustav.pak.download and Gustav.pak.state in the data directory seem to never resolve themselves. where all the other pak files don't have a start or download version. At least for my install and unfortunately that Pak file is ~10GB

Anyone else having issues with that file?

VPN trick didn't work, and I also tried installing Heroic Launcher and download from there instead of GOG Galaxy.

With Heroic the game finishes installing, but when starting the game, the Larian launcher warns of file corruption and starting the game just immediately crashes.

So I guess I'm forced to wait for GOG to fix it on their end.

Had exactly the same issue but might have found a workaround:
Close Gog galaxy
Remove .download from the filenames and remove the .state files.
Start Gog galaxy, it will complete the installation.
After this I manage to start the game. Not sure if it will crash at some point, but got past character creation and started playing at least.

Yeah that got mine to finish installing as well. I haven't started the game but I'm currently running a verify on the games files to see if it is happy.

Edit: Yeah I was not happy with the Gustav.pak and is trying to redownload it. I'll see how this one goes.

Edit2: Verify did want to redownload the Gustav.pak file and that got stuck at the end as well. Game does start though.

I tried to verify and it started downloading the files without success, so i just started playing instead.

OP Here - I sent out a support ticket to GoG and will update the post with their response. In the meantime, as I mentioned in an earlier post, downloading all the offline installer files does allow the game to be playable and recognized by Galaxy. It took a long time to download and install, but it is at least a workaround.

linking a off line install to Galaxy is a bad idea... they are not compatable

92% will be either unpacking or verify files... in both cases thats normally a network or cpu issue i.e, your actual download is finished by then but if your system took a long time to get that download then things may have gone wrong

Zzzz just trying to play the game I paid for, these guys got a couple of hours till I just get off this crap and buy on Steam instead.

Where are .download and .state?

In the installation directory : [whatever]/Baldurs Gate 3/Data

The VPN trick worked for me, using TunnelBear:

1. Pause Download
2. Connect to US using VPN
3. Close all insnateces of GOG
4. Relaunch GOG
