Orcs Day 31
So that's how you did it! I couldn't figure out how you took out Clayton and his stack. I couldn't see anything nearby except your hero. I thought you had a stack hidden in the trees. But no, I never looked closely enough at that hero. All this reminiscing about Celedrion. Well, now this game reminds me of Wizard's Throne. Anybody play that one? It was a good game but it had some serious balance issues. Remember how the draconian heroes used to be flying? Remember when flying units with a ranged attack could kill unlimited stacks of melee units because they couldn't fight back? Well, that's what happened to me. Somehow, perhaps through the malicious machinations of the mapmaker, Bokwit has himself a flying hero. This bloody thing flew up, all by himself, to my hero and his party, and killed them all. The only damage I did was through magic attacks through my wizard, but once my MP were used up, he could kill a good orc hero with entangle strike, and 6 other units, orc heavy cav and hell hounds, and they were helpless to do anything. And what, you may ask, was the ranged attack that this hero used to do in my lovely Grandan and his boys? Was it a bow? Oh no. A wand, you may ask? No, nothing that heroic. It was steam. He steamed them to death. That's a death for a lobster, not my warboys.
So uhhh, anyways, please forgive my rant. Just a little chocked up to see the dead, steamed body of my beloved Graden. Allow me to conclude with a couple points:
1. This war is pretty far from over. A relatively tough stack got wiped out and my best items and hero were taken from me. I might eventually triumph but Its not at all certain at this point.
2. If I can't take this hero out, you elves better watch out. DO NOT send out stacks against the halflings without including ranged units, flyers or some other unit capable of hurting this guy. This guy is a very special class of OP hero. You can deal with him, but you need to adjust your strategy. I haven't dealt with anything like this since WT.
