I've taken these two screenshots on my Steam Deck. Timelines and v.7 are available at least for me. The linux offline GOG copy of version 6.2 also runs perfectly fine there. The Steam version will most certainly be the native Linux version and not a Windows one but I didn't check the files.

Edit: But no Timelines as far as I can see.
Hah! I've just read this one as I was about to start playing my custom modded start with 6.20 :D

I just noticed it and started downloading everything else. I'm not actually interested in Timelines; I just bought it to help support EgoSoft.

Great, I wasn't expecting it at the weekend.

Just updated and undocking.
Hotfix right away, <darthsidious>goood</darthsidious>. Downloading.

No distractions tonight, pls :-)

I'm also not sure about timelines for me.

spinewire: Very tempting... I don't think I'd mind buying the whole lot a second time because I like Egosoft as a company. This is painful... I avoid DRM out of principle but I feel gog are no longer gog.

Another annoying behaviour of theirs is that they often update the games in my library without updating the changelogs.

ExSign: Would you know whether Steam has v7.0 available (in real life) for Linux?
Not the OP, but I can confirm X4 Foundations v7.00 HF1 (AND Timelines DLC) are available on Steam, as native Linux versions, and have been right from the minute they launched. And it has been the exact same for every patch and every DLC ever since X4 released back when.

NO, I repeat – and GOG if you listen, take notes – NO delay between release and availability. The same service for Linux users as for Windows users. This is just... atrocious? appalling? sad? I don't even know anymore , I'm out of words.

[edit]
I had bought Timelines at launch and have since requested (and been granted) a refund. I do consider giving it another try, but only if and when it has been confirmed available.

"Right away" for some definitions of "right" and "away" :D
Same here, Timelines DLC not for the C, but to support ongoing development of the X series.

Version 7.00 Hotfix 1 for Linux is finally available - but there is still no sign of the Timelines DLC that I bought and paid for over a week ago - that's not a decent business practice.
You really shouldn't offer a product until you can deliver it.

And the support is a disaster. Either they have absolutely no idea what's going on - or they don't want to tell the truth. I suspect the former.
I'm using Heroic Games Launcher on linux and it still couldn't find a patch or timelines as an update. So I thought, maybe I shound deinstall and reinstall. Long story short, when installing x4 via heroic games launcher, it installs v 7.00 hotfix 1 AND timelines as native linux versions... timelines is somewhere out there for linux, the GOG page just isn't showing us.
And well, I want to play Timelines, even if I'm the only one here.

Edit: Nevermind, it just downloaded crap... no timelines available.

Yeah, this is weird with the lack of clear communication.

But here we are on week... two?... past the release of Timelines, bought, and still not available for download.
Forgot to say so yesturday, but I wenth through the cycle as well and found linux support missing and got a refund.

Just to note for others.
I’m considering getting the game. What’s the current version of the offline installers for Windows? Update 7.0 and Timelines still missing?

If you are on a Ubuntu derivative, download the windows installer for Timelines and apt-get install innoextract, then simply from terminal extract the contents with innoextract <filename>, then copy over to your game folder for X4.

7.0 Hotfix 1. I think Timelines is available for Windows but not for Linux at the moment in GOG.

Oh no, and I just purchased it... only have a Linux machine. Quick FYI, everyone, 7.0 is now available on Linux here on GOG.
