Same. I guess I'll check it out tomorrow evening.
Great - Another game where GOG is so slow that even if you buy it, you can't play it.

Unless you use that bloody Galaxy client of course.

Come on GOG. You advertise practically that you have DRM free games, but now Galaxy starts to feel like a DRM. If you do not use our client, then you won't be able to play the game we just sold you. Yeah - I know I exaggerating a bit, but if you launch a game and sell it to people, than at least make sure those people should be able to play it. If you start selling stuff, then make sure all files are in place.

Anyway - Let's see how long it will take this time...

I'm on Linux so I'm kind of stuck waiting for the offline installers to make their debut. Maybe if GOG put Galaxy out for Linux....
When I couldn't download I started reading steam forum/reviews(53%) and just decided to ask for a refund.

While I somewhat understand this, it's not a problem with the game, but with the lousy way GOG treats non-Galaxy users here. I really love the X series and X4: Foundations is a great game in my honest opinion.

A lot of the critique stems from the release version years back. People that have been long X-Series players know Egosoft has a not-stellar reputation with their freshly released games. This is mainly because they are a very small (It was about 30 to 40 people) development team (and even a smaller amount of them are actual coders). However - They are known to not give up, and while the initial releases can be rough around the edges, they keep refining the game over the years. And the game is now almost unrecognizable from, and miles and miles better than, the initial release.

Anyway - This present negative score for this new expansion is for a big part the fault of GOG, and not the fault of Egosoft. I can't fault people to give negative scores for buying a game and not be able to play it. But that's not the fault of the game or Egosoft. It's purely GOG to blame here.

Well, GOG should have said it needs 7.0 and will be available together with that. The Egosoft CEO said in the video that the two belong together.

I don't know why it allways takes a bit longer on GOG until a new version is actually available. But I don't feel the urge to be an early adopter, might be a good idea to wait a while. Version x.0 is rarely a smooth thing, if you get my drift :-)
I see 7.0 standalone installers but not one for timelines.

No linux 7.0 at all though....
So this release is pretty borked for non-galaxy and Linux users? Sheesh this sucks. I was about to buy Timelines but I guess I will wait for them to fix this mess.

Just checked, Windows offline installers are up now. Still no linux 7.0.........

The installer is still in 6.2. The 6.2 > 7.0 patch does not work. DLC are only available in 6.2.

Very frustrating.

Yeah, I was all excited when I saw the Windows installers up. Then I saw Linux still isn't done, yet. I guess I'll check back tomorrow.
Monday afternoon hopefully.

What you mean patch does not work (gives error message or something)?

I was just informed by GOG support that the 7.0 downloadables are there for Linux. Had to double-check that they weren't. LOL! They aren't there.
